Unfortunately, the best keyboard ever (HTC_IME) keeps force-closing :D

Damn. I was just about to install it. :P.

Installed advanced task manager. 50mb free ram now :P

The keyboard is nice.

Agreed there. It's a lot better to use than the default one on the other versions. I'm still not sure about it as a whole, some of it looks quite ugly and out of place. The market looks quite fancy. I'm downloading that speech app thingy to try out now.

50MB?

Wow, that's really much!

Just try to install HTC_IME, maybe it was not working for me because I installed the full update, not only the update.zip?

Whoa the autofoucus just went mad, clicked quite a bit when I turned my phone off!

That happened to me too often when I turned the phone on.

But with the MCR, not Eclair

To get wifi working you'll need to create a symbolic link from /system/etc/wifi to /data/cust/wifi

Reboot into recovery mode then:-

adb shell

mount -o rw /dev/block/mtdblock1 /system

ln -s /data/cust/wifi /system/etc/wifi

reboot

Looking at this, I got something in mind:

Wouldn't it be possible to create patches using an script??

Like just copying the script to the SD card and add an option in the recovery mode that lets you execute scripts that are stored in a specific folder of the SD card.

ok it´s working, but no WiFi and i cant change my provider settings. So in Germany i use a Tchibo Prepaid Card with Internet Flat. Tchibo is using O2 and i must change an APN point to get acces to the 3G Network from O2, but this is not possible. I cant´t switch to any settings at th Network Settings.

So i go back to 1.5 and waiting.

Maybe it's an idea to write down all the bugs in the update, so P can take a look for us and fix it.

Nah, report them on the Huawei forums :P
