Guest Anatol OPREA Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 This topic has a link to the rom http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...001-05-aap-csl/ Done it, now it is running on it. Still no GSM signal. I've found the same problem o several ETEN devices (hadn't they been bought bz Acer?) so it seems to be quite an old story. I still belive that I have to reflash separately the radio. Take a look to this post, unfortunatelly I am not skilled enough to translate it into Android problem solving. Perhaps some of you have enough knowledge to localise the issue. http://www.eten-users.eu/index.php?showtopic=13952 Hope it helps, fortunatelly the weekend comes an I will try to do a few steps... Guest Borkata Posted May 29, 2010 Report Posted May 29, 2010 You have to flash newer bin with donut or even directly eclair. You won't find bin for 1.001.05_AAP_CSL. There are only nandroid images of partitions, but not radio, so you will not have signal again. What seems to be your case is you have radio for eclair and donut system. Mine Liquid originally was with same rom as yours and after that I have updated yo 2.016 EMEA version using unofficial acer flash tool (3.14 I think).
Guest Anatol OPREA Posted May 30, 2010 Report Posted May 30, 2010 Hello, I've tried a lot of stuffs, but nothing worked. Malez gave me a lot of hints these days (thank you, malez), but still it isn't working. I've tried to call 112, but i'm receiving a phone robot instructions with or without SIM, so the radio does not work for sure. Borkata, on settings -> about phone -> device information, do you have a label called "Product SKU" which is set on AAP_FET? I've also noticed that while I'm trying to update the phone with an EMEA firmware and select manually QCM file @the end I receive an error, so I am sure now that there is an initial firmware error which has been managed wrong and propagated. If anyone has another ideea, please post it here, otherwise I'll have to wait for a tool "GDFS updater" like for it (see my previous post). I couldn't find for the moment such a piece of software for this phone... Anatol
Guest Anatol OPREA Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 OK, after an intensive research, I discovered that I have several errors while updating any ROM, no matter the region, EMEA, or AAP. The main issue with the phone I own now was that the first time when it was flashed someone used the EMEA qcn file one can finds in Acer Unofficial software download tool. The phone is AAP, the qcn was EMEA based. Moreover, I used that EMEA file and flashed the phone in AMSS mode and the result was exactly similar. Also the IMEI never changes, no matter what xml you are using (if anybody did that and can confirm what I am telling, please post here). Do anyone wants to send to me an AAP QCN, please? Me, or the user who wants to share with me this information will post here as soon as I get one a block message, because I need only one, I am 99,99% sure that I am able to fix No SIM Card issue using a QCN file from a proper region. I won't make it public, and also, there is not concern with the IMEI, you cannot change it only by flashing another file. Thank you, Anatol P.S. I found two posts here regarding a similar problem: http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...com/303494/qcn/ and the conclusion http://android.modaco.com/content/acer-liq...737/qcn-update/
Guest Anatol OPREA Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 (edited) I have one, thank you! If I can make it work I'll post here. Edited June 7, 2010 by Anatol OPREA
Guest Anatol OPREA Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 (edited) Nope, anything I've tried did not work. There is a software issue for sure, but I don't want to wait for a fix, so I changed it today with one of its previous owner who is more masochistic than I am... Edited June 9, 2010 by Anatol OPREA
Guest Joel_Ey Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 Perhaps you can help me with my Acer Liquid, I am totally new to rooting. After a failed ROM update which I found at this link: http://theunlockr.com/2010/03/16/how-to-ro...he-acer-liquid/, my Liquid cannot be detected anymore thru USB connection. I have LiquidAcerDrivers installed in my Windows 7 PC. When I power on by pressing and holding Power+VolumeUp+Camera, I have Liquid Recovery Lickon Malez (Build: lickonn-liquid-0.3_Malez-0.2.1). I have no nandroid backup file and I have tried "Wipe data (factory reset)". Now when I boot it normally, since I did factory reset it starts with Android configuration, "Locale"-Choose language option and "Welcome to Android" force close which says "The application Setup Wizard (process com.android.setupwizard) has stopped unexpectedly." Please recommend to me possible solutions or if you can walk me through the steps would be greatly appreciated. Please please help, I have been trying to resolve this by myself but very unfortunate. Thank you in advance.

Guest Joel_Ey Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 Try reflashing the ROM trough recovery, make sure you flash a rom that's compatible with the .bin you flashed. Hi Quipeace, My problem started after a failed flash of "Acer_LiquidE_1.100.05_EMEA_GEN1_..bin" (not a ROM update). Sorry to confuse you. Now I cannot connect thru USB with Acer Flashing Tool and when I start Android, initial configuration of "Locale" and "Welcome to Android" force close. Thank you for your response and hoping that you can help me further.

Flashed Vachounay 1.0.1.zip through recovery and my phone is working again. :) :) :) Thanks a lot for your help.
