Guest Richard_Arkless Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Is it just me or is there no Google maps in r4? its just you
Guest loljpgp Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Hi there. I own a Huawei u8230, and I'd like to know if it's possible to use this ROM in my phone, just like if it was a Pulse? Do I have to do anything special in order to use this ROM on my phone? Thanks.
Guest gsk Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Thanks for this BigBearMDC and Paul! Been awaiting 2.0/2.1 for awhile now! It's pretty quick on my pulse. Couple of Issues: Random restarts for no apparently Reason. Facebook doesn't integrate or sync with the contacts. Is this maybe just an issue or non-feature of the T-mobile contacts interface? Vanilla 2.0 works well in this respect. Again BIG thanks for work so far!
Guest Paul Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 BigBearMDC... have you tried a 1.5 ROM with the 2.1 kernel? Should work... P
Guest Totyasrác Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 So let's make this clear: 1. Does r4 have vibra functionality or not? 2. If I don't use app2sd I shouldn't have any problem with installation? 3. Rollback is possible (moving back to any 1.5 Android version (stock, dec.update, MCR1.7) just by NANDroid restore/installing any image from recovery menu)? Thanks in advance :)
Guest mr.a Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 (edited) Can anyone confirm if the build number says r3 even though you have r4 installed Edited May 12, 2010 by mr.a
Guest hungary Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 (edited) Paul, Bigbear: App2sd need to fixed, because we have very low disk space. I removed everything from the rom like, CroatianPack and other language packs, Documents2go, Roadsync, GoogleMaps... But thats not enough. I tried the new iGo app, but its runs very-very slow. Guest tikker Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Can anyone confirm if the build number says r3 even though you have r4 installed confirmed... and i have another question... how should i partition my sd-card? (does it have effect on all these acore fails?
Guest MarcusHenrique Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Hey! Where's that cool new picture gallery??? I still have the same gallery from 1.5
Guest hungary Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 What do you mean by "very low disk space"? Installed the iGo Navigation and i have 4 mb internal memory with "Notification Alert" and "acore" stoppage in every second. With the 1.6, i never used app2sd, but i have 14mb after install: igo, docu2go, maps, atrackdog, jewels, apndroid, weatherbug, and many more
Guest hungary Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Its possible to use the old 1.6 December Update, after installed this? (have the nandroid backup files)
Guest Paul Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Yes, of course, you can go back to any nandroid backup. P
Guest Stevos Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 confirmed... and i have another question... how should i partition my sd-card? (does it have effect on all these acore fails? What worked for me was: boot into recovery, partition SD card (0 swap, 512 ext2, remainder FAT) add the update to the fat partition on the card (either with a card reader, or via the USB connection after booting) reboot to recovery, wipe to factory settings, then flash the update zip and reboot. The acore stuff is not connected to the SD thing as far as I can tell. I think it's to do with running out of memory / resources or somesuch. Someone said that by cutting down on the virtual desktop sizes and number of icons they eliminated it, but I don't know if that's a proper solution.
Guest mr.a Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 does anyone else get this message frequently: "Process.android.acore is not responding" and what should i do to get rid of this?
Guest robertopero Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Now my boot is hang at Android logo too. I wipe everything and repartition, but it isn't work. Any idea?
Guest BigBearMDC Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 BigBearMDC... have you tried a 1.5 ROM with the 2.1 kernel? Should work... P Okay tried that before, with the "recovery" kernel ... :) TS now working again, therefore I got no service error ...
Guest Paul Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Thinking about whether to 'kitchen' this ROM or whether to wait for a new leak... thoughts? P
Guest BigBearMDC Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Oh wait, PWR button and sound not working either even after a wipe and clean install =/
Guest BigBearMDC Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Thinking about whether to 'kitchen' this ROM or whether to wait for a new leak... thoughts? P I'd say until this is fully working a kitchen might be a little bit too much?
Guest meinnit Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Thinking about whether to 'kitchen' this ROM or whether to wait for a new leak... thoughts? P I would say save your efforts for the final release, unless its a 2 minute job :)
Guest mr.a Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 I don't have google maps, quickboot and god knows what else is missing and i keep getting process.android.acore messages. my build number also says r3 when i have r4 installed. :) please help..
Guest Dalius Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 BigBearMDC... have you tried a 1.5 ROM with the 2.1 kernel? Should work... P Paul ,some bugs , 1:no vibration in r3, 2:the four quick buttons in the bottom of the screen are fixed wrong ,the contact icon is actually applications and the app icon & message icon is contacts, the arrow icon (i don't know what it for ) is messaging hope u can fix them in r5
Guest Evil Disco Guy Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 does anyone else get this message frequently: "Process.android.acore is not responding" and what should i do to get rid of this? Same problem here, I also get this error quite often: Application Android keyboard (in process com.android.inputmethod.latin) is not responding.
Guest Totyasrác Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Thinking about whether to 'kitchen' this ROM or whether to wait for a new leak... thoughts? P If there's a chance for an upcoming "leak" I'd wait a bit. I know you're helping a lot but we shouldn't 'waste' your time unless there's nothing else to work on (a chance to cook even better stuff in the kitchen :))
