Guest screwface Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 (edited) I bet you've all done something wrong. I'm gona install R6 A2SD now without pulling out my SD card. Will report back if it's worked or not. Had to take a call, yep it works fine. R6 A2SD. Still have quickboot etc, didn't pull sd card. Edited May 13, 2010 by screwface
Guest Stevos Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 (edited) First time: r4 -> wipe -> r6 = freeze boot Second: nandroid r4 -> wipe -> nandroid 1.5 -> wipe -> flash r6 -> remove sd = success Hope it helps edit: oops - misread your post - ignore. Edited May 13, 2010 by Stevos
Guest Stevos Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 Had to take a call, yep it works fine. R6 A2SD. Strange, so it isn't solely an a2sd+ issue then. I wonder why mine refused so stubbornly to boot that version unless I removed the SD card. (wiped, repartitioned, tried flashing from r5, MCR 1.7 etc, every combination)
Guest dodge-167 Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 (edited) The worst bug is when yourestart your phone, you must move the SD card out and put it again in your phone, but then all apps, MARKET and widgets desapeare.... Plesee, Paul and Bobo, fix this first!!!! Its so annoying!!!!! :) Edited May 13, 2010 by dodge-167
Guest Paul Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 Need to check the logcat to see what that's happening! P

Its so annoying!!!!! :) you've moaned about everything so far. go back to 1.5 For people having R6 issues, just install R5 and install the contacts apk through adb.
Guest Paul Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 I assume the version without A2SD doesn't have this problem? P
Guest Stevos Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 I assume the version without A2SD doesn't have this problem? P That's my experience, but screwface suggests he didn't have the problem with the a2sd version either. It may be more complex.
Guest ndot Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 Paul if vibrating isn't possible would it be possible to make the phone play a very low frequency bass sound that makes the phone shake.
Guest mr.a Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 Had to take a call, yep it works fine. R6 A2SD. Still have quickboot etc, didn't pull sd card. Can you give us detailed instructions on how you did this?
Guest RavemasterX Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 Mine wouldn't boot with an EXT partition on the SD card. I got it to boot fine with just a FAT32 partition on the card. Then when I went into the recovery image to partition the card with a 512MB EXT partition, it wouldn't boot (so obviously no Apps2SD, which I would like). That's when I gave up and went back to MCR 1.7 :).
Guest screwface Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 Can you give us detailed instructions on how you did this? I just installed it as i normally would, but i rebooted my phone 5 minutes ago and now it's frozen at the boot screen. Gona check logcat myself. See wagwaaaaan.
Guest ndot Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 When trying to download from App Market it just says "Downloading..." nothings happening.
Guest mr.a Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 Can someone who has flashed the R6 A2SD rom, without any problems, create a nandroid backup and upload it somewhere so that we, the unfortunate ones, can restore this backup through the recovery as reflashing the sam rom has made us tired. help very very much appreciated

Guest ndot Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 When trying to download from App Market it just says "Downloading..." nothings happening. Fixed this by turning wifi on and off.

Guest Epohax Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 For people having R6 issues, just install R5 and install the contacts apk through adb. I have R5 and with the R6 problems I intend to keep it. How would I install the contact apk through adb? I assume I should hook up the phone to my PC, and I should install the Android SDK so I have this ABD application? But where do I get the contacts APK? Sorry, noob :-)
Guest marcox1987 Posted May 13, 2010 Report Posted May 13, 2010 i installed more program.... and generated more force close window.....
