Guest jmmL Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 What are the chances of getting vanilla android 2.1 for the pulse? Would we have to wait for a vanilla leak (like we did for 1.5) or is it actually possible remove Canvas (in the same way that you can remove SenseUI)? BigBear - I'll interested to hear if the compilation of eclair goes anywhere exciting! Oh and has anyone tried swype on 2.1? I've become somewhat dependent.

I'll download, compile and flash eclair, and if this works, I'll upload it :P (it would be Vanilla :D)
Guest Stevos Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 I had a panic last night when I found I couldn't restore to 1.5. I still find that when I re-flash the december 1.5 ROM it fails with an error at line 3, and when I try to reflash the 1.7 MCR it goes into a permanent reboot cycle. I'll just add this again in case anyone else has this problem - before you start flashing any ROMs, quickboot into recovery mode, and go into backup/restore, and do a NAND backup (I did NAND + ext). Booting into recovery mode (red button + menu held down whilst turning it on), then doing a NAND restore seems to recover the 1.7 MCR correctly with no problems. I don't know why reflashing the 1.7 doesn't work (for me) but the NAND backup and restore does. Just to re-iterate, Do a NAND backup. Keep up the great work :P

Guest robot1000 Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Do I have to wipe my SD card and then partition it, in order to get A2SD+ working, or can I just leave it as it was from the 1.7 Custom ROM?

Guest starkos Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 First partition FAT32, second partiton EXT2. P Cheers, I'll try repartitioning it in a bit.. Although is it it possible to downgrade an ext partition, i'm guessing not lol?
