Guest jmmL Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Paul - will there be a kitchen for adfree and plus members?
Guest adencool Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 1. turn the phone off completely by pulling out the battery 2. put the battery back in 3. hold down the menu+red buttons 4. tap the bower button 5. when recovery mode appears, let go of menu+red buttons after reading this forum, because i don't have the December update the above method doesn't work any other way to access it?
Guest BigBearMDC Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 after reading this forum, because i don't have the December update the above method doesn't work any other way to access it? Then you have to flash the amon-ra recovery image first.
Guest Paul Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 wow, thanks. Does that cut into the space on /data? I think I'll stick with r3 for the moment if it does. No. P

Guest robot1000 Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Would I need to wipe my SD Card and then repartition it, or can I leave it partitioned as it is (from the 1.7 ROM)?
Guest BigBearMDC Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Would I need to wipe my SD Card and then repartition it, or can I leave it partitioned as it is (from the 1.7 ROM)? I guess repartitioning is not required :P
Guest robot1000 Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 I guess repartitioning is not required :P Thanks What then happens with the apps already installed on the partition
Guest BigBearMDC Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Thanks What then happens with the apps already installed on the partition Hmm I don't exactly know ... I would recommand you to wipe it, because if you then reinstall an application that is already on the ext partition I don't know what wil happen...
Guest ogiogi Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 A2SD is working 70MB free now. Don't remember what EXT format i have. Is there a way to check.
Guest bindi Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Thanks What then happens with the apps already installed on the partition Hmm...what about having an "Ext 3" partition on MCR 1.7 currently and flashing with 2.1 R4 which only support Ext 2? Wipe the SD card and Repartition?
Guest screwface Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Hmm...what about having an "Ext 3" partition on MCR 1.7 currently and flashing with 2.1 R4 which only support Ext 2? Wipe the SD card and Repartition? yes

Guest le_lutin Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Are we saying that vibrate isn't working for anyone under any circumstances? This could be a deal breaker for me (haven't installed any version of 2.1 yet!).
Guest hungary Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 I always got at startup and later random times: (running the new r4 with wipe and everything) "Process android.process-acore is not responding" Whats the problem.
Guest JingleManSweep Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 I'm just flashing R4 after a Nandroid backup and a full wipe. How long does it take to initially boot? My phone is stuck at the "android" text logo (the static one, not the shimmering one). Been like that for about 5 mins now? Is it broken?
Guest Josh04 Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 ext is backwards compatible. The ext3 and 4 features won't work, but repartitioning shouldn't be needed.
