Guest Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 I'm just flashing R4 after a Nandroid backup and a full wipe. How long does it take to initially boot? My phone is stuck at the "android" text logo (the static one, not the shimmering one). Been like that for about 5 mins now? Is it broken? It takes roughly 1-2minutes before it continues to the T-Mobile pink spinning circle screen.
Guest Nirva Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 If the booting takes more than 5-10 minutes, go back to recovery, wipe, reflash the update and you're good to go...
Guest JingleManSweep Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 It takes roughly 1-2minutes before it continues to the T-Mobile pink spinning circle screen. Oh, mine must be broken then. Any ideas? Shall I try to reflash it via recovery?
Guest BigBearMDC Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Oh, mine must be broken then. Any ideas? Shall I try to reflash it via recovery? Yap, wipe and then refalsh it :P
Guest sopdu Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 (edited) thanks a lot for the great work, i think i take a second look, but has anybody a solution for my problem ? So i need to do some settings, when i choose my network provider. Using O2-Online with a Tchibo Prepaid Card here in Germany and Internet Flat, but i must change something at the APN Settings. For this moment, its only possible to choose the provider, not more and there is no 3G possible without these settings. Edited May 12, 2010 by sopdu

Guest hungary Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 "Process android.process.acore is not responding" Any idea? I use wipe before flash, partitioned the sd... Not work, always get the error message
Guest bas-r Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 thanks a lot for the great work, i think i take a second look, but has anybody a solution for my problem ? Just go to APN settings and give your APN in.
Guest Hectic Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 is the december update necessary for this ROM? and how can i unpack the boot.img, i wanna try to make the same with U8230 drivers. :P
Guest bas-r Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 The r4 version is unworkable on my Pulse: I did all types of wiping before installing, but I kep getting process.acore bladiebla stopped running; Random reboots and the rom is pig-slow. Back to 1.5 it is...
Guest sopdu Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 (edited) Just go to APN settings and give your APN in. :P thats my problem last night, i have no settings for APN or i´am to stupid to find it. Can you take a look, how to change settings at the provider ? Edited May 12, 2010 by sopdu
Guest JingleManSweep Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 Cool. Its working now, including the Google Maps Navigation with TTS stuff. Thanks BigBearMDC and Paul... You truly are (HTC) Legends!

Back to 1.5 it is... I'm echoing this. The version released last night was quicker :/ edit: but thanks guys, for all the hard work :P Edited May 12, 2010 by Rem1x
Guest jmmL Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 (edited) Having some problems getting data over o2. I'm in the UK on PAYG, and I get the G or 3G symbols to show I'm connected, but no data is going in or out (the arrows aren't lighting up). I'm using the APN settings from the wiki. Does anyone else have data working with O2 (PAYG)? Edit: a reboot appears to have solved this problem. Edited May 12, 2010 by jmmL
Guest Paul Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 I noticed it was a lot slower with A2SD... can anyone verify? P
Guest adencool Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 is the december update necessary for this ROM? and how can i unpack the boot.img, i wanna try to make the same with U8230 drivers. :P i think so i was on the vanilla 1.5 rom (no dec update) tried this rom and was stuck in a boot loop. fixed now, by install the stock 1.5 again, adding the dec update and the going to this rom
Guest hungary Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 I noticed it was a lot slower with A2SD... can anyone verify? P Yes, same here. Its slower with a2sd... Can u give a r4 rom without app2sd? I belive, thats the problem with "Process android.process.acore is not responding"
Guest bas-r Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 (edited) Yes, same here. Its slower with a2sd... Can u give a r4 rom without app2sd? I belive, thats the problem with "Process android.process.acore is not responding" Maybe that's why all my apps are borked when going back to 1.5 and doing a Nandroid backup? It says they are installed, but nowhere to be found. So reinstalling all the apps atm. And Roadsync is gone... :-( Cannot install it. /EDIT, ok this is majorly annoying: after rebooting 1.5 all the apps are gone again.. So I have to go back to a factory reset phone I guess.. Guest screwface Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 I noticed it was a lot slower with A2SD... can anyone verify? P I'm assuming you're using a class 6 card right?
Guest biron_w Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 It's great that you guys have sorted out a beta of this. I think i'm going to wait for an official 2.1 release, then wait til you do a vanilla rom.And then i'll pay for ad free and download it :P
Guest Paul Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 To remove A2SD for now use either root explorer or adb to remove '/system/etc/init.d/40a2sd'. P
Guest meinnit Posted May 12, 2010 Report Posted May 12, 2010 I will also be going ad free once we have a stable release and a kitchen :P Thanks for all of the work so far!
