I enabled mobile tracker on my phone in case it gets lost or stolen and have it set to send my brother a text and it works fine no problems what so ever. My only problem is that it sends him a text each time i reboot the phone and knowing our omnia's they need to get rebooted every couple of days. I was thinking of getting a app that reboots the phone at like 12AM each night, but my brother is already annoyed with the stupid text messages he gets now, that he would kill me if he got a new text each day.

I thought the purpose of mobile tracker was when a sim was changed it would send the IMEI number? but this just sends my IMEI number every time i reboot? am i doing something wrong or is that how it is?

fyi re flashing the PDA dose not disable mobile tracker :)

did you try disabling mobile tracker, use the sim card and enabling mobile tracker again? fyi, it's the phone number of the sender that's going to help you get back your phone.

when you lose your mobile, this option will send to your present number, new user number. and you will can find your mobile with this new user number.

no, it only sends the imei... for me thats stuppid, because i wrote down my imei and that it, i dont must to send an sms to anyone...

anyway, make like breakaway told to do...

the issue is not what it dose because which is fine. But when it sends the text message it sends it each time when the phone reboots and i reboot my phone everyday so my brother gets a text message everyday and it's useless coz it just my imei number, what i thought was it would send a text when the imei number changes aka phone got stolen and someone is using a new sim

well... that happend to me once, i fix it by replacing the sim with a new one, talk with your Provider...

so after you got a new sim, it dose not send a text each time the phone turned on or rebooted? Will it send a text message if a different sim is used?

exactly, i desactivate the function then i insert the new SIM and reconfigured the functionality, and thats it...

hmm thats weird that it acts that way, it acting like the phone is stolen then. Maybe if i disablel it and re enable it it will start to function the way it suppose to.

nah, doesn't help... but after a couple of soft reset, it just stopped sending my cousin a message... strange.... >,<

and yes, if I disable it, it just stop sending my cousin a message but it will defeat the purpose...

well today i disabled a mobile tracker then enabled it the turned of the phone and turned it back on and no message was sent, turned it for 3 time to make sure and oddly it sent it only once at 7PM and thats when the phone froze on me. I dunno maybe i fixed the issue will have to get my moms sim and see if it sends a text.
