Ive got working all i think. The GPS takes a time to recon de sats.. so i dont know if i should change my phone part too. What i have now is: PDA:I8000NXXJE2 CSC:I8000ATOIL1 (austria) PHONE:I8000XXIK3 will i lost the GPS or 3G or WIFI if i flash it all? or the CSC part or the PHONE part??? Another thing.. u said u r using I8000LVEIJ1, wich is the network carrier for movistar in argentina... r u using movistar?? if im not.. will it work anyway?? will i have to change to an "L" version or continue with any i8000XX version?? do u know any CSC open from Argentina??? too many question sorry!!! thanx in advance!! You don't need change your PHONE part, nothing going to change doing this because it's like "driver", if your hardware is I8000 and not I8000L, you can do nothing. It's like try use Nvidia GeForce driver with Nvidia Quadro, maybe you can do it, but it's for sure that something you going to lose. the good side is that you can use any I8000 PHONE part. If you don't get 3G signal now, you won't get it, it's because the frq. used by your Carrier in your area isn't compatible with I8000. you could get 3G changing from carrier. even with the same in another state. yeah, it's no good news... sorry. I8000LVEIJ1 came with a movistar phone, but isn't special for Movistar, it's the same that any other IJ1 version, just has different letter to indentify which carrier is using it. You can change the CSC, FOP is a good "semi open" CSC, but all config belong to European carries. Don't exists an open CSC for I8000L (you could use it in your I8000), i started to work on this, using Quattro Formaggi app to track all i8000L versions, but that app is not free now, you need pay for it, for each download or a unique fee for unlimited. My project is for free and i would need the unlimited license (to make regular queries), there are no guarantees about how long it works and to spent that $ in my country, it's not cheap, just to publish a open CSC for free. I don't want money, i just wanted to help. hey, don't confuse, i understand the Quattro position, i saw people download firmware without know for what, i used that tool to make queries several times, but i made only 3 downloads. massive downloads made that samsung close its servers... Of course, i prefer the open and free tools.. I made my customized CSC with movistar config, activesync icon, etc, my stuff..., and until get a free way to track I8000L versions, i'll keep the project on hold. saludos Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Le pise las cuatro partes con las del i8000: eboot/csc/phone/pda y funciona sin ningun tipo de problema. En cuanto a la csc local me parece que es mejor perderla que encontrarla, puro relleno de la empresa que no sirve para nada. --- Hi, fyi: currently i'm with european JE3 6.5.3 on i8000L from personal argentina. El Motorola milestone con android es casi un iphone de rapido y los dos funcionan con 600Mhz. Mi pregunta seria... espero a que salga un sistema para flashearlo que lo deje decente? o lo vendo y compro un milestone/iphone? Desde ya gracias por los consejos, soy nuevo en el foro asi que saludos a todos. que tal, tal vez te parezca decepcionante a nivel interfaz comparado con un HTC, pero tiene solucion, ya sea instalando la ROM custom de este site o bien interfaces de terceros como SPB Shell, muy bueno tambien. Respecto al hardware, es de lo mejor del mercado, mejor que un HTC HD2 (para mi gusto), el tema es que Samsung no es muy bueno con las interfaces de usuarios. Hi, maybe you consider this user interface poor (if you compare it with a HTC) but you can fix it by installing a custom ROM from this site, or using a third party interface like SPB Shell, very good too. Regarding the hardware, this phone has one of better harware in the market, even better than HD2 (in my opinion), the problem is that Samsung isn't good developing user's interfaces. saludos Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Right now I can not confirm 3.5+ works because I do not have that kind of coverage here.... tomorrow will try at my office. Good luck. EDIT: 3G+ working just fine. Hi, i'm using the same version, but you can try IK1, if you don-t like it, you can go back IJ1 easily. En este post dice que no hay problemas con flashear los tres pero no el bin y por eso dudo ( http://www.htcspain.com/samsung-omnia-2-gt...erder-3g-40106/ ) Te queria pedir si me podés ayudar indicándome la rom que usaste porque yo también tengo personal de origen con plan de datos y no quiero perder el 3g. I mean, even if there were a small charge (scoff, choke, gag... Bell has no small charges) it could be worthwhile as a fix.
