Guest AdamAsater Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 okay so a few days back i was connecting to my wifi from my wireless manager. i noticed that the wireless manager did not give me an option to turn on wifi. it just said airplane phone and bluetoof..no wifi:( so i went in to the wifi settings via settings menu and i tried to connect and it did not work. it searches and then just stops and turns off my wifi. The day before my wifi was working fine and was visible in the wireless manager. I did research and couldnt find any problem similar to mine. I found 1 option and it was using sktools to do a clean up but that did not work. my only other option was to do a hardware reset and i did that. it finally worked but then i turned my i8000 off to go to sleep and when i woke up the next morning the same problem was happening. i hadnt installed anything in the phone :) i tried taking it to my carrier(bell) and they said they are not taking it for repairs because the problem is with my wifi..but i know for a fact it is not because i had the phone hooked up to my wifi and it worked fine up until now, i also have my laptop and itouch connected to wifi. i dont know wat to do, can someone please help me
Guest HAL_9000 Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 It has simple solution. Instal apps Wifi Profiles (from XDA) Set these values: *DHCP = Yes *Net Adapter = SWLDM201 *Enable wifi = Yes *Reset proxy = No *Unattended mode No Change And voila wifi works again, no soft no hard resets. :)
Guest rrr2 Posted May 18, 2010 Report Posted May 18, 2010 Had the same problem. In my case the cause was low storage memory. The 150MB are filled too quickly and when reaching below ~30MB - No WIFI in comm manager. Clean / Uninstall and simple soft reset will reveal WIFI again.

Guest HAL_9000 Posted May 19, 2010 Report Posted May 19, 2010 okay i have wifi showing up in the wireless manager, but it still wont activate :) it turns on and then back off, it doesnt even search This is only one working solution. If it not work, you must change ROM. I have this wifi problem on JA5 and JB1. Actualy I have JC2 Lite ROM (by Gary Crutcher) and wifi dissapearing problem is past. Or you can try newest ROM like JD6, JE2. Or wait to official 6.5.3 ROM from Samsung. It should be released on Saturday (22.5.)
Guest Hiroshi.Rio Posted May 22, 2010 Report Posted May 22, 2010 Works like a charm! No SR/HR... :( Thanks a ton. It has simple solution. Guest meabigbaldguy Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 This issue is addressed in the newer ROMs... well, at least the one that I'm using. If you fancy a flash, then check out the appropriate ROM section of this forum for your CDMA or GSM device.
