Edit the build.prop and change the fingerprint to this:

May be worth changing the build id to FRF91 also.

I did but market didn't fix... And yes, I did it before first starting Market, so there was nothing to be cached.

I've tested it.

WIFI and GPS working properly.

Calls OK.

No more Network unlock PIN.

I couldn't setup a google account to sync my contacts. No google apps...

It's pretty stable.

Good work.

Reverting back, because I really need the google account.

The google apps need to be ported from 2.1

Been testing things and the UK kernel works fine with this Froyo build. However I've not managed to get A2SD to work at all. The kernel won't boot with this added to the kernel.

Just run Neocore. 23.9 fps

But ist allready built in. From my point of view we dont need it anymore if we have a stabel 2.2 rom

Allso I thing so that making correction in init.rc

export EXTERNAL_STORAGE /mnt/sdcard

to

export EXTERNAL_STORAGE /sdcard

and

# creat mountpoints

	   mkdir /mnt 0775 root system

	   mkdir /mnt/sdcard 0000 system system

to

#create mountpoints

	   mkdir /sdcard 0000 system system

and delete this line

# Backwards Compat -XXX: Going away in G*

	   symlink /mnt/sdcard /sdcard

Becouse for some unknown reason it only create /mnt, and /mnt/sdcard

but whether it the permissions of /mnt arent righ, or it doesn't do the symlink correct?

/mnt/sdcard is correct for Froyo. Removing the "Backwards Compat" part is a good idea and I've not noticed any issues with it removed.

Wifi has some bugs (signal strength and link speed are reported incorrectly). These can probably be fixed by using wpa_supplicant for a 2.1 rom (I haven't tested). I will look at using a modified wext driver that implements these features correctly at some time.

Using wpa_supplicant from 2.1 doesn't fix the issue.

@Fibblescan or Tom G or BoBo:

Can you do something with the Market issue? Simply applying flb's recommended changes in build.prop isn't enough.

I'm working on it.

Hmm, I got a faster speed on the version before.

A short bug report on phone functionality:

Environment:

- Pulse

- 1.5 December Update firmware

- 2.2 0.4 with data and SD card patches

Activity:

I made a relatively long phone call with 3G turned ON. The mobile network was rather poor, so the phone had to do relatively lots of 2G-3G swithces.

Result:

Many reboots similar to that one we had with 2.1 beta.

Question:

Is it possible, that this rild is designed for 2.1 firmware?

Meebo in background, went to browser, downloaded something, installed. Activated the keyboard I installed, went back, browser was still open, meebo still open, launcherpro never reloaded.

Still smooth.

edit: went to market, went back to meebo, took half a second to go back to meebo.

LauncherPRO still there.

Animations/Scrolling smooth. Things open fast. Insane.

edit2: Got email notification, went downloaded tweetdeck from it, logged in with two accounts, went back to meebo, went back to launcherPro, never reloaded.

Took half a second between apps. I LOVE THIS.

The ROM seems very smooth after a few hours of testing. Wifi works, 3G and (!) 2G data for me, too. GPS not tested, music-app doesn't find the songs and the froyo-own a2sd just gives me an error, is this a known bug?

Hello. Can somebody post the free ram with this thing while (lots of) apps are running?

Tnx.

Disregard the free RAM. It's fast, smooth, and every thing stays in RAM with plenty of things running.

I got about 22 Mb with normal usage (Browser, Facebook...) and not killing anything.
