"Restart phone > delete cache, wipe dalvik-cache"

i wiped dalvik cache from recovery if thats what you mean?

It's just a cyanogen HTC Passion froyo rom, build.prop

And I don't know about the market app - vending.apk?

Well I don't know, but it looks pretty much the same as our vending app.

The problem isn't in app I guess.

I do it via adb.

Hmmm. I started with edit the build.prop. Its dont work. Next try the Market Enabler. Its work, but dont show the protected apps, only the pay apps. Next tried the Eris Market Fix, but its crash the phone. Next i modify the .apk with Passion values. Its dont work. Next restart, wipe, clear cache, do the "CHEKIN" many times. And its works!!! I do a nandroid backup, with no modify (created it yesterday), and its still working!!!! I dont understand this.

i have the checkin succesfull also but for instance when i type digital clock i dont have the maize digital clock version. Appbrain synced with recognizing the phone as HTCHero  but its not installing anything, hm.

Are you using clockwork recovery or amon_ra? I'm just wondering if clockwork is actually deleting the dalvik-cache.

I just can not hardly believe my eyes that I saw now.

Did A Timemachine UPDATA.APP

Than downgrade to 1.5

And after that flash fastboot

froyo images

and it's boot up

with no problems at all.

Kernel Version 2.6.29-perf

huawei@product-second #2

Is it really .29 kernel or it's just the build.prop

But How can you explain the successful boot up?

I don't lye I promise.

Just try it for your selfs.

EDIT

But yeap the camera still doesn't work.

The SD is mounting in no time.

ACCELEROMETAR works, but no compass.

somethings strange just happend with the search widget. No Voice search, but still search preferences.

I't seams to me that it is really a .29 kernel now.

But can anybody tell me how to install the official 2.1 Uk Upgrade?

I was meaning is there any chance to break my pulse if i upgrade instead downgrade.

I don't know what's just happend here.

Yes. Froyo can work with the .29 kernel. Actually the Cyanogenmod 6 for the Hero is running on a .29 kernel too.

But I downgrade to .27 (android 1.5)

And with no dload upgrades i just flash the froyo via bootloader with fastboot.

That was my upgrade.

But if you flashed the images then it will have flashed a newer kernel.

Tom G: Found another issue with the WiFi. Android cannot read the mac address. Or it does but it doesn't display in Settings.

BigBear and I were testing his multitouch kernel, so my pulse was on 1.5.

About 30-40 min. ago and now I wanted only to see whether the pulse will be able to boot with froyo boot.img

And, Success.

Then I flesh userdata.img, and system.img and now I have fully boot up into froyo.

Somebody help me?

Just somebody to tell whether it will hurt my device if I update pulse with dload / updata.app android from 2,1 uk?

About the live wallpapers. Just download some from the market and it'll work.

But I had about 3-4 reboots after some application was trying to use the GPS.

That was before I downgrade.

silly me!

I just don't know what's the problem with the market apk?

And allso I can't connect to my wifi.

I know my wpa password!

But when i disable the security in my router I manage to connect with no problems.

I noticed that vibration doesn't work. I assume this is due to the missing sensor drivers?

Vibrate should work on the 2.1 firmware (it did in previous roms). Are you sure its turned on? I think it defaults to off.

Tom G: Found another issue with the WiFi. Android cannot read the mac address. Or it does but it doesn't display in Settings.

That is the same issue of the wext driver not implementing the android customizations (actually setting ret=0 when the customized call fails). I doubt it would effect usability (similar to the signal strength and speed issues).

All of my froyo testing has been on the 1.5 firmware, the 2.6.29 kernel works fine except vibrate breaks. There are stability issues related to 2G-3G switching on the older firmware (I will see in the 1.5 ril driver works in froyo, it will hopefully fix the stability problem).

The market issue may be related to flags set in an engineering build. I haven't had time to look at it yet, but I will have a play with it over the weekend. Maybe doing a user build will fix it.

Yeah it was off. It works now

BTW I got the market working correctly and the Froyo A2SD appears to be working (meh, it doesnt). A nice touch is that froyo now warns me the first time I enable USB file mode that it can stop any apps installed to SD. I'm not sure exactly how I got these working but I have been swapping files about from a Hero ROM which may have fixed the issues. I need to swap the SD with my Eclair SD to see if it'll mount the fat partition when marked as the second partition. (Update: It didn't work. More work needed)

I'm amazed how quickly things are progressing. You just need a github now so I can persuade some outside help ;)

Edit: Still don't have the facility to mount the second partition on an SD if ext is the first. But vold is now reading vold.fstab instead of vold.conf so it's progress.

Amon_RA and my dalvik cache moved to /cache from data/cache. (with script)

I dont use the Market Enabler. If you see the video, no pay apps showing. I dont know why working for me, and why not for you. I think its some cache or network provider error (like i cant change my network, system give me scan error) First time the market dont work for me, after try some method to fix it, its working. I do nandroid backups, and its still working.

Amazing work on this everyone!

I can't wait for it to be stable. Any news on the SD Card problems? If that worked, I could start using Froyo. I just want my texts again.

SD is working, only the ext2 partition can't be mounted.
