Guest Charlton22 Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 I want that Ferrari case.... Will this be ever available?
Guest Gryx Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 Don't think they will release the case... It will be hard to change it. Acer Liquid E and Ferrari special edition is already on the acer website for a couple of weeks. But still no release.

Guest magicdanw Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 They wouldn't release the case by itself, because if they did, there'd be no more incentive to pay a lot extra for the whole device!
Guest Edward.W Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 (edited) i can only see news about the liquid e ferrari edition on acer website. nothing about release in july. any links? Here 's the Link: http://www.acer.com.hk/acer/product.do?lin...wrAjaxHistory=0 Because it's from the Hong Kong Acer Website, so you may use Google Translate :) Translation Result is not that good: http://translate.google.com.hk/translate_t...%91%8A%E3%80%82 Edited June 8, 2010 by Edward.W

Guest HustlinDaily Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 Hopefully we get the unofficial production rom before that. I am sure we will once somebody gets the E and dumps it onto us. Hopefully they fix that freezing between 2G/3G and optimize battery life. Aside from that, I have no problems with the current ROM.
Guest Redhatz Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 (edited) But I am not sure whenever this update will only available in Hong Kong or not :) Since HTC had released the official 2.1 rom for HTC Hero at the beginning of June, I assume that Acer would release the official 2.1 at the beginning of the July or at the end. Otherwise they would suffer from the blaming of Liquid community :) Edited June 8, 2010 by Redhatz
Guest peterx666 Posted June 12, 2010 Report Posted June 12, 2010 Here's Acer's support for EMEA: https://customercare.acer-euro.com/customercare/Default.aspx Tried this and it says out of service - will try other things We need the official 2.1 - acer are rubbish at support - thought they were trying to get into the smartphone market? :)
Guest pigia Posted June 13, 2010 Report Posted June 13, 2010 At this point I don't want 2.1 ... I want Froyo! :) ... I think I'm going to buy a new phone No more Acer because I don't like to be 2 or 3 roms behind the official release :)
Guest peterx666 Posted June 16, 2010 Report Posted June 16, 2010 Froyo is the biggest performance upgrade for Android. I think I can safely say that it's the last update I need for my Liquid... Gingerbread doesn't have anything interesting that I want as of yet, would be nice to have it, but I really really want Froyo. still dont know of a date for the UK Acer support is rubbish! ;)

Guest Auxx Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 Same here, i gonna sell this phone Like any other vendor has less problems? Lol. Hero still on 1.5! Yes, some carriers sent 2.1 recently, but hey, it still not worldwide and 1.6/2.0 were missed. So come on, sell it. No one cares. You will cry the same way with HTC and Samsung and whatever.

Guest Edward.W Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 It takes time for the company to work out a new ROM when there is a new Android OS come out So users better be patient, in the Android world, waiting is necessary. ;) One of the example is the Xperia X10, it is still running Dount.... The time it released, 2.1 have already appeared , so it is reasonable for companies to cost time. (e.g: redeveloping UI, special features.....etc)

Aaaaand, more than that, at least Acer has announced an update (which should take place in July) and I believe in them. HTC said "We'll update your Hero in the next week!" the 1st of January. Now it's June and my friends are still stuck on Cupcake. They've been saying that for over 6 months now. I sold my HTC Tattoo for the same reason (in February, they announced Eclair for Tattoo to be ready to be launched in "a few weeks", two weeks later they said that Tattoo would never have had Eclair).
Guest HustlinDaily Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 Which is my next phone will be the successor to the Nexus One. No more stressing over this.

They should at least release the kernel source code so that if they can't do it or have people to upgrade, at least let the users have a chance to try it.
