I think you can just not flash the radio, I do have an AT&T frequency too so I am not taking chance, I will remove the radio.img prior to install

don't worry about it. Just flash it. You'll get a speed bump. I did. Getting about 1mb faster DL speeds. Its crazy... especially since its mid-day saturday. I'm on ATT 3g in chicago.

I can confirm this. No flash for my N1 on Froyo either. I tried to play some flash games on kenney.nl and I also get the lego block w/ question mark.

I found a cool hiddenish feature in the phones settings. You can now enable a click sound to play when you manually lock/unlock your phone, kinda like an iPhone.

you did something wrong or you didn't install flash from the market. I just tried out justin.tv and am finally getting supersmooth playback on HQ and 720p quality streams over 3g. Best part is, you get the chatroom and voice input works lol. I'm in heaven. gotta check my bank account to see if I can donate. Paul is about to retire b/c of this rom lol.

just updated from CYANOGEN 5.0.6 with NO WIPE.

- Plain upgrade using ROM Manager.

- Offensive word recognicion added -> YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY (no one mentioned this feature)

- what i feel was left out is: no smart search on the dialer even in 2.2?! What the hell is google thinking?

= still trying to find a way to add more screens

= searching for a way to change the default phone app.

= Also no numeric battery meter

= move to SD greyed out...

= NO MORE PINCH TO ZOOM

I think move to SD should only work for third party apps from the market.... I think, haven't checked yet. Also pinch to zoom is working perfectly fine for me.

Works for me.

Search for Adobe in Market. Download Flash and play.

Oh okay. Thanks for that, I didn't realize I had to get it from the market. I was testing out Froyo without even logging in to my account.

IS ANYONE ELSE DISAPPOINTED THAT THE FM RADIO WAS NOT ENABLED FOR US N1 USERS????? REMEMBER THE RUMOR????? :D

Google has never once, EVER alluded to an FM Radio feature on the N1. How could you possibly be disappointed? Especially when you know it's a rumor.

Is 2.2 too new for some apps on the market atm?

MyBackup Pro isn't showing. As I wiped, I kinda need it

I can't remember seeing reviewers talking about this in the initial review but froyo has 270 degree rotation now which is very nice for none rooted people.

lol, Yeah. Google Kanged the Mod community in several places. That's the beauty of open.

Just flashed the zip on top of Desire r21 and couldn't boot.

Dspite what Paul said, it looks like Wipe *IS* needed?

Remember: Just because you don't *have* to wipe, doesn't necessarily make it a good idea not to wipe. Sort of like sitting on the toilet; you don't *have* to wipe, but you feel better when you do.

Also, don't forget to do a nandroid backup. Doesn't save you on the radio image, but you could just reflash an old one if you notice performance degradation. Speaking of:

Did anyone take somewhat scientific measurements (same seated position, direction, and holding method) before and after the radio update? I gained aproximately 6db of reception from 4.03 to 4.04. Wonder if this is a setback or not.

I just wiped everything (data, cache, Dalvik-cache, rotate, battery) and flashed the zip.

I consistently keep getting the Android falling out of the box.

Has anyone successfully gone from Desire to 2.2 using Paul's zip??

If so, how did you do it??

I know we never head Google mention it. I'm disappointed because soooo many people thought it was coming, that I figured there had to be some truth to it. I couldn't figure out where people heard the info from, but it was said by many people. Thus I believed it, got excited, and am now disappointed. Don't get me wrong I'm not disappointed in Froyo. It is a huge step up from 2.1.

My market keeps crashing when I try to cancel downloads that are stuck. Anyone else having this issue?

You're running a different phone so naturally a wipe is needed to switch back to a Nexus ROM.

I'm with nexus stock rom, update 1, rooted

im renaming the file to update.zip and copying to the root of the sd card, then i boot into recovery and select "apply sdcard: update.zip"

That's they way its done right?

p.s.

you can resign the zip file. Search autoresign.zip android and you'll find a tutorial. Basically just DL, and unzip to your sdk folder. If you don't have sdk, then you won't be able to do it. Likely though, you're doing something else wrong. I was getting verification error, then I signed, then I got status 7 error after that though I passed verification. I just waited for Paul and kept my custom recovery and it installed perfectly fine.

Just tried the camera app. Looks like they added an option for a flash when you record video. I was very excited to see that however, when you try to turn the flash on during video mode, the phone re-boots.

I've wiped everything now, and applied the update and get the Android out of the box error and it won't boot.

I've done this 3 times, even downloading the mirror in the OP as well but it still won't boot.

What could possibly prevent my phone from booting successfully?

I was using the Sense UI Rom alpha21 but have wiped repeatedly.

Did you check the md5sum of the zip you downloaded?

Wipe data, cache and ext and then try flashing again.
