Guest jdmsirek4 Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Thanks paul, Awesome rom. I cant seem to get the apps to move to the sd card though. Also i have problems with any browser other than stock. I also cannot get the jonas keyboard to work, just fc after i switch it. Anybody have these issues? i think you can transfer apps once your device gets full
Guest UsualSuspect Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 just updated from CYANOGEN 5.0.6 with NO WIPE. - Plain upgrade using ROM Manager. - Offensive word recognicion added -> YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEY (no one mentioned this feature) - what i feel was left out is: no smart search on the dialer even in 2.2?! What the hell is google thinking? = still trying to find a way to add more screens = searching for a way to change the default phone app. = Also no numeric battery meter = move to SD greyed out... = NO MORE PINCH TO ZOOM  I use this app Dialer One and it uses T9 dialing, try it. Maybe someone could put the Desire dialer into one of these ROMs.
Guest ssmithri2 Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Anyone who flashed without wipe who have problems with Location? Everything else seems to be working but the location feature seems to fail. There is no obvious error in logcat from what I've seen though (other than it telling me that it was unable to get it). I am... any fix for this yet?
Guest Jon Machado Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Thanks for your great work!
Guest thedonut Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Apps need to be updated on a one-by-one basis before the Copy to SD function is enabled (as the SD card becomes inaccessible when it's mounted on PC, apps need to be able to work without requiring files from there). Some apps may never gain this functionality. --- Updated, working fine, no major problems thus far. Try this to enable the "Copy to SD" function for most of the apps: adb shell pm setInstallLocation 2
Guest audiobastard Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 (edited) Deathwish. Hi are you using an ATT N1? If so did you flash the radio? Can you give install instructions for ATT users? Guest cmunic8r99 Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 6dB mean it double reception! theoretically: 3dB = double power. 6dB = doubled, then doubled again. on another note - anyone updated the AT&T version of the N1 with the radio image? Problems?
Guest Wardski Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Does anyone know if 2.2 brought with it native DIVX support??
Guest krumbsd Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 Everything went off fine. Have installed the Flash apk from a thread on XDA. No DIVX, no FM. Dolphin browser HD kept crashing. Finally uninstalled it. QGetMobile (not sure how many use it) does not load. Everything else that i have check worked flawlessly. Like that the apps autorestore - you log into your Google account, and voila, all your apps are back and installed.

Guest katiepea Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 anyone have any clues as to why when i flashed this i get force closes on launcher, and don't even have a settings icon, as in i have NO way to access settings, not with an icon in launcher, or even menu button/settings, does nothing. i'm wondering what i could have possibly done wrong considering it's just a flash and it boots ok.

Guest Frank from Palm Springs Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 im guessing you mean trackball pro? it doesnt work yet. the creator of the app has to update it to work with 2.2. if you meant the regular notifications.. idk. =( I lost Trackball Alert v1.04's functionality. Other then that, another satisfied customer. Thanks Paul!
Guest iamdasht19 Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 (edited) works great and heres a little walkthrough for those that want to see it in action.. if you want something specific mention it in the video and i will get it made for ya  thanks for the hard work and effort paul!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMFEnPM9_y8 Edited May 23, 2010 by iamdasht19
Guest joelee Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 (edited) Try this to enable the "Copy to SD" function for most of the apps: adb shell pm setInstallLocation 2 It was mentioned in Google IO, "Copy to SD" is automatic, i.e. Froyo selects SD when it run out of space. Also, Froyo's Apps2SD uses the FAT32 partition, so you no longer require the ext2/3/4 partitions. Edited May 23, 2010 by joelee
Guest greywolfnz Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 great work !! only issue so far is titanium backup not working because of missing Buzy box and lookout anitivirus . linpack jumped to 32 more a bit more than 4 time faster than overclocked kernel with CM 5.07
Guest joelee Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 only issue so far is titanium backup not working because of missing Buzy box and lookout anitivirus . Titanium Backup works fine. You just need to click on the [Problems?] button to download busybox.
Guest ErwinV Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 (edited) I'm wondering. Last week I rooted my HTC Desire with Paul's ROM. Can I use this Froyo ROM or do I have to wait for a specific HTC Desire version? EDIT: Never mind, I'll wait till next week or the week after. No hurry, Paul . Edited May 23, 2010 by ErwinV
Guest MrAce87 Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 (edited) fixed Edited May 23, 2010 by MrAce87
Guest choiyw Posted May 23, 2010 Report Posted May 23, 2010 I did wipe install on Cyan 5.0.6 and then push installed TitaniumBackup.apk but it failed to get root access. Can anybody guide in this matter ? I have the same problem, but it can be fixed by press the "Problem?" in Titanium Backup, and then download + install the Busybox.
