Cool, I renamed my HTC ROM to update.zip and it worked!

of course it works, since it's a signed stock rom from HTC. But you can't edit the update-file to customize it yourself

ok i have usb issue and cannot revers to stock rom using RUU for some wierd reasing, (need stock for warrenty claim) so when i saw this thread i became happy :rolleyes: could someone please upload stock generic rom that is signed by htc? i can not find one.

Dont go installing a htc stock rom if you have a branded handset.

that is an RUU and as i stated i can not use RUUs , how do i extarct the ROM out of the RUU, want to try to use the signed rom as an update.zip in this recovory menu

Run the exe on your pc..

While the ruu program is open look in your temp files directory on your computer and you will find a rom.zip file.

Copy this file to your sdcard and rename it to PB99IMG.zip then flash via the bootloader
