This is the HTC Messaging application working on the Omnia II.

Instructions:

1. Disable HTC Sense and close the regular Messaging app.

2. Install the HTCMessaging_Client 1_5_20142622_00_WWE.

3. Do not reboot!

4. Copy the MessagingClientDll.dll from the MessagingClientDll.dll.0409.zip file in /Windows. (using Total Commander or File Explorer).

5. Reboot.

6. Enjoy!

Hmm installation seems to be unsuccessful...

Inside is MessagingClientDll.dll.0409.mui... is it meant to be .mui or .dll?

Will this Messaging App be the default one?

It is indeed a .mui file, my apologies. Landscape mode is not supported unfortunately.

There is direct link under Phone in the start menu to launch it.

I don't have Sense Installed (SPB 3.5.4). Can this be used without Sense?

I have installed the 6.5 Rapid ROM and it works fine for me. I don't know about any other ROM's as I haven't been able to test it out.

I installed it in the Device section.
