Does anybody took the time to chronometer the startup sequence?

In fact, I wanna know if the phone works behind the scene during the first boot animation.. or only display it?

In others words... if we put just one frame.. does the phone starts faster than putting 1000 frames?

(please don't answer you can test it.. I know I can even if I'm too lazy to do it :))

The one I use...

I don't put any link to download it as I don't expect the need :)

The "wind" sequence loops till the home is launched...

Can you not change them so their 480 x 800 instead of 800 x 480, so we dont have to rotate our phones to see the anime?

As I got some private messages regarding my anim, I had to search my memory and in my paint software, how I did it...

And when I checked the different effects... of course, I felt like generating a new one :)

To generate the different frames, I used the following softwares:

Does anyone already notice some contrast issue with bootanimation?

I got the same issue with one of yours, Potter...

Typically, some frames are rendered like this instead of normal (all black):

Any hint to avoid this? (save your pics with.. etc...)

Exactly the same... I opened and "save as" 24bits, all the pics...

I noticed some pixel bugs... so I replaced my first sequence...

Since, I change it, I have this weird split...

I don't have it with the others frames...

On my pc, there's no issue...

I'll try to "save as" from another format... but I really don't understand...

If it's come from a kind of optimized encoding, I can add a dead pixel to break the partial symmetry... but don't want to do it on many frame if it comes from else where...

I noticed that too :)

Its when we optimize them it happens, i think.

I try 3 different softs... same issue

I also tried several options for the palette... same issue

As it works on the PC... it's really boring to test... :)

don't know :) try to save in 8 bit

In all posts I already read, I saw that 24bits is mandatory...

BTW, I'll try...

I tried with 8bits.. same behaviour...

I give up my blind tests... Expecting someone has a solution...

I successfully built my file... luck or good settings... I don't really know...

BTW, here are my last settings which solve my problem...

By default, the dithering level was at 7... (and I got the issue with 7...).
