Seems so....the procedure doesn't even look logical

Although I don't think it would brick it, I'd rather wait for someone with more than 5 posts to confirm it

probably fake. If u reflash a firmware, all settings, and everything erased. Thats not logical

yes, i know. but it works. a few guys in that forum confirm the procedures.

it's a little bit complicated, but ANW, it works.

BTW, it changes the starting image to HUAWEI logo instead of t-mobile.

i think huawei adds something, wait for Paul or Bobo to finger it out.

I got an U8220-6 and vibrate it's not working. Nevertheless I'm not trying this procedure until it's confirmed.

Doesn't even have to say U8220-6, the swedish versions only say U8220. It may be that they do somewhere else as well...

Lol it won't break your phone, try it tbh.

It's a bit off topic, but may I ask what the difference is between U8220 and U8220-6?

U8220-6 won't work with the 1.5 MCR, the touch-screen refuses to work. Also a2sd won't work on U8220-6, it will disable all 2g/3g-connectivity.

On 2.1 on the other hand, U8220-6 is actually better. Vibrate works for example!

I have U8220-6 and 2.1 with vibrate working always..

I believe that's cause I have the chinese april update (I'm not chinese, i had to flash other rom in order to use the phone), my boot screen has a chinese operator logo.

So this guy might be telling the truth. Don't make fun of him.

It's not a matter of it'll work on U8220 or not.

This update problably replace some drivers, including vibration ones.

If U8220, pulse, or any version is listed as upgradeable on the updata.app file, it'll upgrade, it'll work, and it WON'T brick your phone.

In fact, if this upgrade has huawei logo instead of that ugly chinese provider logo that mine have, I myself gonna flash it later tonight.

Guys, thx for your sharing !!

After upgrade to the U8220V100R001C125B249SP01

The info shows on the blue screen:

USB Fast Boot v0.5

Macahine ID: 1007000 v0

Build Date: Jan 14 2010,00:29:59

Serial Number: UNKOW

Since it is different from the my orginal one ( Build Date is xx Nov xxxx, I can't remember exactly), I believe that the U8220V100R001C125B249SP01 package did change something actually...

So, let's enjoy the Pulse 2.1 with vibrate!!!

And again, thanks to Paul & BigBear. ^ ^
