Guest Richard_Arkless Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 hey update Ive packaged v9 and is uploaded, will update the first page now This is now based on RBM as paul and shadow havent updated their roms in a while and RBM is more vanilla anway Ive replaced the vanilla launcher with ADW and was having problems with the clock widget not displaying so replaced it with tmobile version
Guest Simon O Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 the AlarmClock.apk requires EmotionClockWidget.apk to display a widget, and EmotionClockWidget needs the Huawei framework files.
Guest Richard_Arkless Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 the AlarmClock.apk requires EmotionClockWidget.apk to display a widget, and EmotionClockWidget needs the Huawei framework files. I just replaced it with the one from my previous version which ran fine, no problems
Guest il_cholo Posted June 7, 2010 Report Posted June 7, 2010 Hi Richard glad to see a new update from you, I´ll give it a try. do you find this release better than v8? just the normal process installation right? wipe, wipe and flash over v8?
Guest Richard_Arkless Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 (edited) Hi Richard glad to see a new update from you, I´ll give it a try. do you find this release better than v8? just the normal process installation right? wipe, wipe and flash over v8? Hey I had far less force closes but that is down to voice search not being in the from, as for speed I'm not really noticing a speed increase but i can't be sure until i have fully used it to be 100% sure it is faster yea just go in recovery, wipe everything and flash. one thing you should really know is if your upgrading from one rom to another which is about the same then wiping isn't mandatory so I would say just wipe when I have made a huge change like switching from one rom (pauls) to another (rmb) Edited June 8, 2010 by Richard_Arkless
Guest il_cholo Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 so far the only FC close I had is related to "latin imput" and other one related to ADWlauncher, the rest is working fine, just playing around with settings because I don´t have chance to test phone calls until tomorrow.
Guest lilim_ac Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 just finished download v9. will try now with my cupcake.. wish me luck.. wakakakakak..

Strange works for me download a terminal emulator from the market and type in a2sd check then under A2SD status report, everything should have * except for swap, reply back on what has X on it
Guest il_cholo Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 (edited) I have 2 unexpected reboots and 1 weird shutdown and also de FC of the imput latin method that I´m figuring what can it be, but so far is working ok, I love your roms!!!!!!!! Edited June 8, 2010 by il_cholo
Guest lilim_ac Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 From the screenshot it is working right? I installed toonwars 8mb, internal memory reduced around 1mb. for other smaller apps like deer hunter which is 1 or 2mb my internal memory also reduced around 1mb. so is it normal?? update: 1 freeze at 17:54 today, since then it works well. sometimes i get force close for titanium backup and other app.

Guest Richard_Arkless Posted June 8, 2010 Report Posted June 8, 2010 You should tell him that for moving Dalvik on SD and to work properly he need good SD card (at least class4) True but im sure he saw it as I put the warning in the changelog
Guest + 24 Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 anything difference from v8 otherwise im gonna still use v8 because it's bloody suit me !!!!! thx alot
Guest lilim_ac Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 (edited) True but im sure he saw it as I put the warning in the changelog yes i know that, that's why i didn't move dalvik cache to sdcard. thanks for the help richard. UPDATE: toonwars, big range hunter2, raging thunder2 works like a charm!! no reboot after incoming and outgoong voice call. are you using market fingerprint from nexus one? Got 3-4 freezes and 1 reboot last night. strange.. any idea why? Edited June 9, 2010 by lilim_ac
Guest Richard_Arkless Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 (edited) anything difference from v8 otherwise im gonna still use v8 because it's bloody suit me !!!!! thx alot Nothing have really changed its just based on another rom instead of pauls/shadows, its now based on the rbm based one because the clock is viewable on that one and its more vanilla If your thinking about updating this update then you will need to wipe, if its a small update then wiping isn't necessary yes i know that, that's why i didn't move dalvik cache to sdcard. thanks for the help richard. Got 3-4 freezes and 1 reboot last night. strange.. any idea why? Yes I used the nexus one fingerprint, now you receive a nice email welcoming you to your nexus one lol As for the freezing, It sometimes freezes for me and from what I have heard other roms have this problem where its working fine then suddenly it freezes as for the reboots its because you got an incompatible firmware, when does it reboot most often so I can pin point where it happens, much easier to know where so its not like looking for a needle in a haystack, I predict and many others think its down to the switching from one frequency (GSM) to another (3g) which can only be fixed with the updata update Edited June 9, 2010 by Richard_Arkless

Guest lilim_ac Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 as a newer 1.5 from swiss rom released yesterday. so is it a good idea for us to apply it?? so the step is roll back to my nandroid cupcake. then flash the new cupcake from swiss. and then flash ur rom. will it repair the problem as ur sentence before?
Guest Richard_Arkless Posted June 9, 2010 Report Posted June 9, 2010 (edited) but i use 2g only. i never use 3g but still it reboots and freezes. randomly.. any more idea richard? No I dont, maybe someone more technical and experienced can help you out All I know is that its caused by you having an older firmware, I dont know how to decrease the likelihood of it rebooting as a newer 1.5 from swiss rom released yesterday. so is it a good idea for us to apply it?? so the step is roll back to my nandroid cupcake. then flash the new cupcake from swiss. and then flash ur rom. will it repair the problem as ur sentence before? Well the solution to fix the vibrate was to update to a newer version of 1.5 so I think that might work, maybe you can create a thread to see if they can give you advice on whether to update to it or not What u8220 device have you got, is the rom the same as the device you got e.g. u8220-6 roms work on only those devices Edited June 9, 2010 by Richard_Arkless
