I have roger dump in hand but can"t share it for the moment. Here are the infos

It looks like the phone is sim locked to roger but it looks easy to unlock (just one file to edit)

There is a specific dictionnary for cangjie (maybe canadian) keyboard

Rogers added voice dialer and some specific ringtones and maybe a different dialer.

There is a few other differences. I can't really be more precise before i have not installed the rom, just analyzed its content.

In concluion no big difference compared to the latest bin we have. Only a little more ram.

Malez custom recovery can be installed on it without any problem (quite normal, it is the same hardware as liquid)

Why cant you share it?? i mean you got it from an already released device, anyone with a liquid E can get a dump or share a dump, but w/e you got your reasons i guess, its just that it doesn't follow the philosophy of android.

Its not a typo the Liquid E does have 512mb of ram.

Anything is possible but since the Liquid E has Fm radio, it seems acer did start a new assembly line for the liquid E, meaning is highly doubfull that the Liquid A1 has a 512mb ram chip, restricted to 256mb, but like i said acer is a strange company so anything is possible.

The Liquid also has a FM radio receiver.... We just lack the drivers.

I guess its possible to see on the hardware if you have the knowledge? It would be great to flash on the official rogers Liquid E on the old Liquid and see if it shows 512 or 256mb...

There must be someone who have dismounted his device, it then can be possible by inspecting the ram memory chips..

Seems Roger's LiquidE comes unlocked according to this user:

As for RAM, it's reasonable for Acer to replace the older 256 MB RAM chip with a 512MB RAM chip and keep everything else exactly the same so they don't have to change manufacturing much (memory prices drop fast over time). Also the FM radio exists in the Snapdragon chipset, just no drivers, on A1 & E, and Nexus One and other Snapdragon processors at this time.

Yeah, and we can't download 1.6 Rom for liquid now... Nothing show up

I have the Liquid E from Rogers - have tried Paul Obriens fastboot method to boot malez recovery but no success

I can get into recovery mode with an option to flash an update.zip though

would you be able to make an update.zip with your recovery to root the phone>?? I would love to make a nandroid backup of this rom and then also start to cook on the liquid e

lots of memory ;P thought my magic had alot with 256mb - 512 is just insane - 300mb free on average
