Guest Bice Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Unpacking... Installing... I am screaming :D I got "update failed" message every time. Why?
Guest goce.nakov Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 First once that installed post if language can be changed
Guest Fusion0306 Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 (edited) I'm a little scared to be honest  I only started modding my pulse few weeks ago. And now... I can't stop. It's like drugs... baaaaaaaaaaaaaaad drugs Edited May 27, 2010 by Fusion0306
Guest Josh04 Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Would an official MCR use the UPDATA.APP for space? Once done, the partitioning cannot be undone except by another UPDATA.APP.
Guest h3dshot Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 lool i feel like a fat kid in a bakery, soooo excited!!!! 52% downloaded atm woooo!!
Guest giryan Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Yes, certainly everyone even contemplating flashing this ought to read, and understand this: http://android.modaco.com/content/t-mobile...at-youre-doing/
Guest Fusion0306 Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Maybe we should go back to december update and then update. Just a guess
Guest Daniel Williamson Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Yes, certainly everyone even contemplating flashing this ought to read, and understand this: http://android.modaco.com/content/t-mobile...at-youre-doing/ +1
Guest DanWilson Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Once done, the partitioning cannot be undone except by another UPDATA.APP. No, I mean when Paul makes the MCR, will it be an update.zip? Or the UPDATA.APP then an update.zip?
Guest Richard_Arkless Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 (edited) No, I mean when Paul makes the MCR, will it be an update.zip? Or the UPDATA.APP then an update.zip? What I think will happen is we all will update using the updata.app because it will resize the partition for us then paul will be able to make a full mcr rom for the 2.1 (update.zip) and not have to worry about the system being too small Edited May 27, 2010 by Richard_Arkless
Guest eckengucker1 Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 You can just unpack the UPDATA.APP and copy only the dload-folder to your SD-card. The "CUSTOMIZED_HU" contains probably only the phone-settings.
Guest dodge-167 Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Did somenome update his phone???? Is it working??? Some screens maybe????
Guest mr.a Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Can someone who has flashed it confirm whether you can change the language to english or not. also a few screenshots would be greatly appreciated
Guest robertopero Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 I got "update failed" message every time. Why? Me too. Any idea?
Guest DanWilson Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Paul! Paul? Acknowledge our official ROM then have a coffee. Then get to work!
Guest Swift_gti Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Am I now going to regret installing the UPDATA.APP that allows vibrate to work in 2.1 .. ? I'm guessing this probably isn't going to want to update that because it overwrote the Dec Update..
Guest schkinx Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 I've tried to flash it but no joy , keeps telling me updates failed . I noticed its missing the userdata.hwcfg file in the dload folder , could that have something to do with it ??
Guest MarcusHenrique Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 I'm downloading it, but I won't flash until someone confirms it's possible to change language to english =P
Guest DarkBytePH Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 I got "update failed" message every time. Why? Have you tried it again? It failed on my friends phone also, he has a virgin Pulse with only the december update. I will try flashing it a bit later. If someone succeed to flash straight from MCR 1.7 please confirm here. :D
Guest gusthy Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Paul! Paul? Acknowledge our official ROM then have a coffee. Then get to work! Something is badword bad. I said strings UPPDATA.APP |grep -i "ro.build" and found it: ro.build.display.id=U8110V100R001C85B215 it seems a Pulse MINI thing. But then WTF?
Guest goce.nakov Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 Me too. Any idea? Maybe because you update you phone with that Chinese update to get vibration working and on this one that update isn't listed so you can't update.....
Guest jegkrem Posted May 27, 2010 Report Posted May 27, 2010 I've just ran the split_update.pl Perl script on UPDATA.APP. here are the resulting files: appsboot.mbn 20 appsboothd.mbn 83024 boot.img 1705440 boot_versions.txt 219 file01.mbn 128 file02.mbn 13356 file04.mbn 40 file05.mbn 411740 file07.mbn 56688 file08.mbn 25 file09.mbn 333 file11.mbn 21221376 file14.mbn 1087488 file16.mbn 153600 file18.mbn 42864 file20.mbn 2543616 file21.mbn 40 file23.mbn 40 file25.mbn 40 recovery.img 142718400 splash.raw565 2801664 system.img 40 upgradable_versions.txt 10332 userdata.img 40 version.txt 40 I've copied some of the text file contents which might be hints for what devices is this applicable: appsboot.mbn: U8110V100R001C85B215 boot_versions.txt: U7625V100R001C85B100_BOOT U8110V100R001C85B101_BOOT U7625V100R001C85B004_BOOT U7625V100R001C85B005_BOOT U7625V100R001C85B006_BOOT U8100V100R001C109B101_BOOT U7625V100R001C85B100_BOOT U7625V100R001C00B100_BOOT file09.mbn: U8110V100R001C85B215 U8110V100R001C85B214 U8110V100R001C85B208 U8110V100R001C85B207 U7625V100R001C85B100 U8110V100R001C85B101 U8100V100R001C109B101 U7625V100R001C85B004 U7625V100R001C85B005 U7625V100R001C85B006 U7625V100R001C85B100 U8100V100R001C00B101 U8105V100R001C00B101 U8107V100R001C00B101 U8109V100R001C00B101
