I'm a little scared to be honest  I only started modding my pulse few weeks ago. And now... I can't stop. It's like drugs... baaaaaaaaaaaaaaad drugs

Would an official MCR use the UPDATA.APP for space?

Once done, the partitioning cannot be undone except by another UPDATA.APP.

No, I mean when Paul makes the MCR, will it be an update.zip? Or the UPDATA.APP then an update.zip?

What I think will happen is we all will update using the updata.app because it will resize the partition for us then paul will be able to make a full mcr rom for the 2.1 (update.zip) and not have to worry about the system being too small

You can just unpack the UPDATA.APP and copy only the dload-folder to your SD-card. The "CUSTOMIZED_HU" contains probably only the phone-settings.

Am I now going to regret installing the UPDATA.APP that allows vibrate to work in 2.1 .. ?

I'm guessing this probably isn't going to want to update that because it overwrote the Dec Update..

I've tried to flash it but no joy , keeps telling me updates failed . I noticed its missing the userdata.hwcfg file in the dload folder , could that have something to do with it ??

I'm downloading it, but I won't flash until someone confirms it's possible to change language to english =P

I got "update failed" message every time. Why?

Have you tried it again? It failed on my friends phone also, he has a virgin Pulse with only the december update.

I will try flashing it a bit later. If someone succeed to flash straight from MCR 1.7 please confirm here. :D

Paul! Paul? Acknowledge our official ROM then have a coffee. Then get to work!

Something is badword bad.

I said

strings UPPDATA.APP |grep -i "ro.build"

and found it:

ro.build.display.id=U8110V100R001C85B215

it seems a Pulse MINI thing.

But then WTF?

Me too. Any idea?

Maybe because you update you phone with that Chinese update to get vibration working and on this one that update isn't listed so you can't update.....
