Guest Rem1x Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 I'm repacking this with root now. Released ROMs certainly should NOT have test keys. P Oh, Huawei, you never fail to...fail.

Guest Spooke Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 I'm repacking this with root now. Released ROMs certainly should NOT have test keys. P Awesome!! Will wait for ur release instead of updating now, cant wait, WOOO :( If it isnt any trouble and long, can you explain why they shouldnt use Test keys? Or someone else?
Guest David Roper Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 Oh, Huawei, you never fail to...fail. nope they actually fail at failing :( remember they said that they'd failed to get it to work (in as many words) because of the limited space. And now an official rom :o They've failed to fail :(
Guest flip360 Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 "I would just like to say that I think its a shame that engadget contains no coverage of the t-mobile pulse. Thats to a community effort a 2.1 android rom has been put onto the pulse (mainly thanks to Paul And BigBear at android.modaco.com). T-mobile hungary has just released an official rom for this device and i think it would be nice if you could a) Identify Paul and BigBear's achievments :o Cover the t-mobile pulse story It seems that only more high profile android devices get coverage. I love engadget for the less heard about gadgets and development projects that appear on the site everyday, and i feel the t-mobile pulse deserves a place amongst them. Thanks for your time, David" just sent that off to engadget :( hopefully bigbear and paul will get some applause, and the story will get covered :o i know there are countless misstakes in the email- but hey, i'm revising for exams, time is short :( nice email mate, our pulse getting 2.1 should be on Engadget
Guest davbren Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 (edited) Ok its installed but I have no 3 mobile or wifi :( Ok so I have 3 mobile now, but still no wifi :( Edited May 28, 2010 by davbren
Guest MarcusHenrique Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 I'm repacking this with root now. Released ROMs certainly should NOT have test keys. P What about system partition? Will I be able to flash you rooted rom without this update?
Guest igor_anta Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 A MCR?!!! :( Well I guess just stage 1 :( Paul you rock big time! Cheers!

Guest flip360 Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 Yep, I will also email them, would love to see BigBear and Paul get the recognisiton they deserver :o :( :o i heard that we (the community) did the pressure for the pulse getting 2.1, why not do the same with engadget :( CHEERS!!!
Guest Paul Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 Problem is that this update is failing on U8220-6 !!!! =/// Ah, that has the right partition structure already tho right? The big /system partition and the vibrate friendly firmware? If so, then it shouldn't (touch wood) be a problem? P
Guest Paul Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 Megh, i've been on Engadget before... http://mobile.engadget.com/2009/10/09/t-mobile-pulse-review/ :( P

Guest bounty123 Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 Sounds too good. Besides root only a2sd is essential, and then we're good to go :(
Guest MarcusHenrique Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 Ah, that has the right partition structure already tho right? The big /system partition and the vibrate friendly firmware? If so, then it shouldn't (touch wood) be a problem? P Hm.. I honestly don't know if the system partition is bigger, cause' the 2.1 I've been using it's yours made to run on every Pulse... But surely it's the one that always has the vibration working. About touch I don't believe it's a problem, since BETA worked alright. To be honestly I think if you manage to put U8220-6 in the upgradeable devices list of this updata.app it'll work just fine!
Guest hungary Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 (edited) Paul, please make a SuperBoot for Original 2.1 ROM (without custom), like this:" 21/Jan 1.5 - Superboot - rooting without a Custom ROM" Thanks! Edited May 28, 2010 by hungary
Guest lemmyc Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 Same process as the December update Did you also do the CUSTOMIZED_HU part of the install? Is it necessary? And do you think it will be possible to do future 'official' UK upgrades (I can dream :( ) over the top of this Hungarian ROM?
Guest MarcusHenrique Posted May 28, 2010 Report Posted May 28, 2010 Paul, please make a SuperBoot for Original 2.1 ROM (without custom), like this:" 21/Jan 1.5 - Superboot - rooting without a Custom ROM" Thanks! That's kinda easy for him :(

No, I didn't... re: future upgrade, I imagine it'll be OK, but we don't know for sure... :( P

The CUSTOMIZED_HU is necesary, if you dont flash it, your menu and contacts shortcuts changed.
