Did that, wiped everything, loaded my rebaked r20 ROM, and now manually installing apps/settings. Not seeing any of the issues I reported below, this is about for the last 2 hours. :D I saw issues immediately with the previous ROM I baked. The initial way I would trigger the lockups/battery pulls was via the Touchdown app, and when it was doing its initial sync with my company's Exchange server, pulling down all email/calendar/contact entries. Inevitavbly, I would get complete N1 lockups. With this rebake, the initial Touchdown sync went fine, as has everything else. :lol: Interesting point. My previous ROM I actually baked directly from the N1 browser when I was on r19, and downloaded from that browser as well. This time around, I rebaked (as I had done on all other previous bakes) from Chrome on my Mac, mounted the N1, and manually copied over to the root of my SD card. Don't know if those differences mattered, but something was up with that previous bake. My rebake had all my options as I had selected directly from the N1 browser on the first r20 bake. -gandalf444 Is anyone else having problems with r20? I am seeing many complete freezes --> need to pull battery. I first went from FRF83 (r19) to r20 w/o wipe (baked in spare parts, Fancy Widget, dropbear ssh. No Titanium, Wavesecure, a2sd or a2sd+) So this morning I wiped everything, install r20, then used myBackup Pro to restore all apps + data, and still seeing random phone freezes, which require a battery pull. Now I am again wiping, install r20, and will manually restore apps to see if that resolves the issues. Anyone else see anything problematic. I have had zero issues with Paul's ROMS's since r15 or so, all upgrades have been fine. THis is the first time I have ever had to do battery pulls.

Is there a way to keep my Desire Port and upgrade to 2.2? I tried out the FRF85B. I love it, but I prefer the Desire ROM. I'm not good with the proper terminology, but I want my firmware to be 2.2 with Desire running on top. Is there a such thing?

Managed to root my N1 with AMON and flash Modaco r19. A stressful but rewarding experience. Long time to get SDK set up and problems with entering text in the command shell. Read these posts and know I can just flash r20. Do I need to flash new radio mentioned, anyone not do it? I have 4.04.00.03_2. If I want to flash radio (done before I flash r20, I assume. And steps are just like I flashed r19 for both) do I need to wipe or just flash both in order I mentioned. Guest rugmankc Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 (edited) I have been reading on the radio image flashing and confused. Some say flash radio thru the command shell. Paul says just flash it. Is flashing from the SD card OK. I sit here with r19 and want to flash r20. My radio image number is 3 posts up. It is working fine. If I flash radio either way, exactly when do I do it. If I don't wipe I will flash from SD Card prior to r20. If I need to wipe as part of flashing radio, do I do it before wiping or after as first step before flashing r20? I am told flashing radio is risky and I don't want to brick phone. Paul, it's your turn ;-) Problem with paid apps: Your FroYo tries to restore your apps from market. Let it work half an hour or so. After the notification: "X apps has been restored from market", the paiid apps apperas.

P Not to push things, as I know you're VERY busy, and I'm very grateful for your hard work; but aside from this, what do you have planned for R21; and when might we see it? Guest vmlinuz Posted July 1, 2010 Report Posted July 1, 2010 Quick comment, haven't tested extensively: Running the r20-with-standard-extras prebake after a wipe, and openvpn doesn't seem to be working - gives a link error "link_image[1995]: failed to link openvpn CANNOT LINK EXECUTABLE". Quite possibly my fault, just wanted to get it out there - anyone else seeing similar behaviour?

I would like to do this tonite. And just flash r20 over r19. Keep existing radio 4.04.00.03_2 which has worked fine with r19. Any reason not to do that? I guess I will figure out when and how to properly flash radio on my own. I have had some screen issues with r19 lately. A little slow and today icons were unresponsive. The power off button did not work until I played with it a few times and then did a power off/on reset. Titaniumn BackUp icon did not work at all. On a side note, Titanium Backup backed when I set it to 5 minutes ahead manually. But, I have it set to backup at 0300 two nites a week and it does not do it. Did busybox reload and set compression to LZO, no help. Joel has no answers yet. Anyone have this problem. Want buy it, but want it to work. Haven't tried a uninstall/reinstall yet. Thanks, Ken
