Thanks to quattro formaggi....this is JE2 ROM(6.5) for I8000 using Samsung Mobile Firmware Downloader...download links for the whole files below...

Hi Abdelrahim,

Would like to confirm the "X" button in setting (Enable to end running programs by tapping "X")? earlier, i have flashed JE1, this option was not longer available....

It's not a problem of JE1 or JE2. It's related to WM. WM 6.5.x has X button not configurable. So:

- JE1 = WM6.5.3 -> button "X" not configurable.

- JE2 = WM6.5 -> button "X" is configurable.

Hi Fubo, what are the benefit without "X" button configure in WM653? if that so, many programs will be open and minimize in the background.

I think Samsung knows that some users still prefer 6.5 or even 6.1 and others like the new 6.5.3 and they want to satisfy all...

this rom have a better memory managment than JD6? I think when I was with JD3 I hade a better memory managment.. Looks like JD6 don't realese ram. after a ay usage I got 50mb free ram.. is it good? or have some better rom?

I have tested once, the performance as not as smooth of JE1, although JE2 is an officially released.

After use little while (load and close application example call, sms, gps, internet), the memory seeks drop!!!

this rom have a better memory managment than JD6? I think when I was with JD3 I hade a better memory managment.. Looks like JD6 don't realese ram. after a ay usage I got 50mb free ram.. is it good? or have some better rom?

like I suspect... but there was a JE2 version a time a ago.. twu made an lite rom.. ins't equal?:S

how r u? i flash this rom.very nice i like only officially Rom. i live in hong kong.i have samsung mobile not anycall i buy from outside shop not from samsung.when i but this phone have this problem then i go to the shop then he change the old rom after internet is working.now after flash the rom i have problem i cant open internet.plz help me how to fix this problem i m using 3G also hsdpa not work.i want to ask u also some other question :

1. i cant see speed dial in phone book

2. no 3D Cube i see only " OTHER" "TASK SWITCHER" "EDIT"

The Internet is working perfectly and so are all other connections.. ....DID you flash the phone part of the ROM ?? What ROM did you have before flashing this ROM ?? you will need to hard reset and if that doesnt work, Iam afraid you will need to flash the ROM again....

Ask Microsoft. They decided so and there is no option to enable close instead of minimize. There are custom tools to enable it.

A lot of thing. For sure interface changes, it should be more touch oriented, as start menu and close/minimize buttons are bigger and on the bottom of screen. Besides they improved some other aspects like IE and other things.

What did you use as the Suffix/Nation Code?

This suffix & code means =CZECH - Settings for Vodafon

I dont know if it does matter if installed in other countries with different operators

Free RAM with Samsung Today checked is 70 mb...
