Guest Simon O Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 Is it possible to install this r7 over r6 using the recovery tool? I mean Im using Sh4d0w940´s upd8-r6-2.1-pulse-a2sd+-vanilla-signed.zip, can I go to recovery tool and flash with this one? Regards. You will probably need to do a wipe before installing this.
Guest il_cholo Posted June 3, 2010 Report Posted June 3, 2010 You will probably need to do a wipe before installing this. I did a wipe and a davlink wipe after that I tried to flash and got this error message: "E:can´t symlin/system/xbin/ E:Failure at line 12: symlink busybox SYSTEM:xbin/ Installation aborted. "
Guest Simon O Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 I did a wipe and a davlink wipe after that I tried to flash and got this error message: "E:can´t symlin/system/xbin/ E:Failure at line 12: symlink busybox SYSTEM:xbin/ Installation aborted. " Ok, that is weird as busybox is definitely in the rom and in the right location.

Guest eckengucker1 Posted June 4, 2010 Report Posted June 4, 2010 But you've to take the vending.apk form Pauls r7. Optional you can take the MarketNotification.apk form Pauls ROM too.

Guest Simon O Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 this rom is my favourite so far. Today I even installed Darktremor a2sd from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=670087 and the phone feels a lot more responsive. I have a Class 6 8Gb card and dalvik cache moved to it, so I guess this is helping.
Guest neuty Posted June 5, 2010 Report Posted June 5, 2010 All good folks. Working a treat now. :) neuty

Until we have an MCR kernel, we won't have swap :)

Guest Simon O Posted June 6, 2010 Report Posted June 6, 2010 At A2sd status report all of them have * by them except for swap so does that mean its working? Yes. If any of them have an exclamation mark, then there is a problem. Stars mean it's OK. By the way, this moves dalvik-cache to SD by default. If you have anything less than a Class 4 SD card then you might want to move it back to data using the instructions on the xda website.
