Guest HustlinDaily Posted June 17, 2010 Report Posted June 17, 2010 (edited) Going to try this out so I can experience Dolby Sound n stuff while waiting for LCR 1.7 on Monday. Does anybody know if it requires sign check when flashing or not? Nevermind. Got it. Working well. Edited June 17, 2010 by HustlinDaily
Guest HustlinDaily Posted June 18, 2010 Report Posted June 18, 2010 (edited) Can anybody who is using this ROM on a Liquid A1 go to Device Info and check this out? (Doubt it is correct as I only have 60 megs available). Just found it interesting: Gut reaction was that must be Stream specs but Stream has 1GHz Snapdragon. Edited June 18, 2010 by HustlinDaily
Guest fischschneehase Posted June 19, 2010 Report Posted June 19, 2010 you are right cant be the aream specs... perhabs the liquid realy has that ram which needs to be unlocked...

Yes, that would be great to have 512 MB, like Liquid E. I know figure out the logic.... The fact is Acer already released Liquid E, just locked its memory as they did on CPU. ;) And switched off the lock and make it a new name Liquid E ... That's smart. Aren't they? hahaha................. :(

Guest fischschneehase Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 I guess it's a way to make more money... the e has realy more ram than the a1^^
Guest vache Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 The amount of RAM is not read from hardware, it's write in the settings application directly. Since this ROM is a Stream port, wich have 512Mb of RAM, that's why u see this value. It's corrected in LCR 1.7.
Guest Splux Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 I guess it's a way to make more money... They're a big company, so I'm not surprised. @vache: isn't that pretty stupid? Should've been better if it was read from hardware:P
Guest Ayur Posted July 5, 2010 Report Posted July 5, 2010 They're a big company, so I'm not surprised. @vache: isn't that pretty stupid? Should've been better if it was read from hardware:P Why? It doesn't really matter anyway - you can't upgrade to more ROM/RAM, so a fixed value is as good as any

It was just my opinion that I didn't really think through completely:)
