These might not be the best news of today, but we’d like to inform you that as of July 1st Nimbuzz for Windows Mobile phones will no longer be available for download from our website.

If you already have Nimbuzz on your mobile phone we will continue to offer support until the end of 2010, but no new features will be added, which means there won’t be any future update.

The reason for this decision was simple: due to platform limitations the application was not delivering a great mobile experience like on all the other mobile operating systems.

As you might have read in the news Microsoft is also stepping away from this platform and its limitations. At the moment they are fine tuning the windows phone 7 platform , which promises a completely new look and great jump forwards when it comes to usability.

And to answer your next question: yes, we are looking into the possibility of supporting Windows phone 7 in the future but now we are still waiting for the first devices to surface in order to make that decision.

If you want to continue to use the most up to date Nimbuzz versions on your mobile we remind you that Nimbuzz is also available for: iPhone, Symbian, Android, Java or Blackberry or if your prefer you can use it via PC, Mac or Web.

Thanks for your understanding!

Yeah i want nimbuzz running in the background like people leaving their messenger on the computer.

Even it say may support wp7, its multitask is like iphone's 4.0 multitask, it will not close background running programs but "pause" them. This will disconnect internet connection thus disconnect those programs as well.

I hope the next Omnia 3 will be able to multiboot WM6.5 and Android along with the stock WP7
