Omnia 2 I920 WM6.1 to 6.5

Hello everyone. I have a quick question. I just purchased the Omnia 2 but it came with WM6.1 and I would like to upgrade it to 6.5. First of all, where can I get 6.5 and how do I go about doing that?

Upgrade to DC 23 FIRST (at Verizon) then you can flash a new i920 rom in the i920 thread..

Also in the i920 ROM thread, there are currently 3 of us providing ROMs:

Me (AMDZero)

Ninja4Hire (AKA The man)

yardi4life

If you want 6.5 goto ninja's threads,

If you want 6.5.x goto mine or yardi's

Quickly the difference is 6.5 still has start flag at the top, along with close/ok button. 6.5.x is a much more finger friendly version but has minor bugs that have yet to be updated. 6.5.x is the latest developements from Windows Mobile so you'll find the newest stuff there. Although some stuff can be ported over to 6.5

Try both styles and see which one you like. There is almost NO chance you will brick your i920 Omnia 2 as we all use OCTANS full to flash our phones, and we don't mess with CSC nor Phone portions of the ROM.

(BTW, I flash my phone probably about 10-20 times a day trying to get new things to work for the community)
