Guest locolc Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 i wold be glad to do that (my phone is a U8220-6) but this update is 170Mb long. i think it´s for the newer pulses. is there any way to cut down this thing? I'd like somebody with 3G issues to flash this to their phone first and see if that allows 3G to work in FLB.
Guest Mohit Singhal Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 Hi All, Can someone plz tell me how to partition my SD card to make AP2SD working. As of now I am using Class 2 card and AP2SD is not working, but I read somewhere one should use Class 4 and above card to make this working. So I just ordered a Class 6 card, will be getting it within 2-3 days, but meanwhile can someone plz tell me details to partition the card, like no. of partition, size of those partition and other details... Cheers Matrix

Still, Class 6 with the cache on it will me (nearly) infinite apps. First install FLB Mod and Amon-RA recovery (I can't see partitioning in Clockwork.) Then partition the SD card to whatever you'd like (NEVER USE SWAP!) - I have an 8GB card so I used [0MB Swap, 1024MB EXT2, Rest FAT) Boot the phone and start up Terminal Emulator. Type insu a2sd install a2sd cache2sd[/codebox] The phone will probably reboot, but if it doesn't, reboot it. Done! Enjoy it.

Thanks for the help, will give it a try as soon as I will get my Class 6 card. Just one more question, is it possible to partition the card on MacOSX instead of Amon-RA recovery. Problem is I am already using Clockwork and I dont want to switch back to Amon-RA again. So what I was thinking is to partition the card using my laptop, then copy the ROM zip file on to the card and then finally install it using Clockwork. Cheers Matrix

Guest igor_anta Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 No luck with the log :) Did you get it to work, and if so how exactly, maybe I'm missing something. Cheers!

I loaded up command prompt, did adb shell: adb shell echo 1 > /sys/kernel/logger/log_main/enable echo 2 >/sys/kernel/logger/log_main/priority[/code] rebooted phone.
Guest Totyasrác Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 (edited) I was having problems with sending and receiving mms (i even tried putting "mms" under the APN type and it still doesn't work), so i guessed it must've been a bug in the current rom i'm on (FLB Mod v1.0). Same here - just realized now that I wanted to send an MMS. APN settings are good... No clue. But don't want to upgrade from 1.2 yet :) (Can't sand, can't receive, tested... What can be wrong? No other custom ROMs had this issue so far...)) Update: receiving shows there's an incoming MMS, and a button saying "Download". After pressed greys out and nothing happens... Reboot won't help. Yup, all my issues are EXACTLY what you've just described. I have the Download button too. Just one thing though: with the APN Type "mms", it worked for awhile, before it stopped working. So im just guessing it's the firmware's problem, not the APN setting, nor is it your network provider's.

Update again: tried another app (just in case), Handcent - same result. Definitely ROM-problem...

Definitely ROM-problem... Have been using Handcent too! And it didn't solve the problem. Haha, guess we're in the same boat. Which ROM are you using btw?
Guest jlgmax Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 My APN setting is mms, from the beginning. Update again: tried another app (just in case), Handcent - same result. Definitely ROM-problem... I mentioned this a few pages back.... When I installed TRE 1.2 I had 4 APNs whereas on the previous T Mob based ROMs I had only 2. I have updated the settings in the APNs but just get the "Download" button which when pressed does nothing (except for greying out !). Is this issue present in the recent T Mob 1.3 update ?
Guest Totyasrác Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 (edited) I have also noted that the Hungarian web'n'walk APN setting is omitted from this rom. I don't use w'n'w but 'internet' APN instead. Otherwise it HAS the mms APN but appears not to be workin' :) So after you've added w'n'w APN anything has changed? I am on FLB v1.2 (Tre) over T-Mobile HUN official 2.1 update. Didn't have MMS problems with beta3&5 and v1.0 - or at least I am not aware of it. Update: shouldn't both APN be "switched on"?! I'm actually going to downgrade to the 1.5 dec update, then upgrade it all the way to the latest FLB. Gonna check if the latest works. But to be all frank with you, if this whole mms thingy doesn't work, i'm going to revert back to my trusty old phone :/ Mms to me is as important as sms. [EDIT to quote Totyasrác] Update: shouldn't both APN be "switched on"?! The MMS APN doesn't need to be "switched-on", as i've read in a couple of websites. Mine wasn't "switched on" and worked, before it did not work one fine day until i realised i need to use MMS. Edited August 9, 2010 by krfan

Yes, changed, got the hostname of subscription, I get the corresponding speed and mobiltv service also works with packages and MMS will also be getting. :) Edited August 9, 2010 by vassk
Guest Totyasrác Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 Yes, changed, got the hostname of subscription, I get the corresponding speed and mobiltv service also works with packages and MMS will also be getting. :) Okay, two more questions: 1. Isn't w'n'w for another type of subscription? I mean a different package... 2. So this has solved the issue that you didn't have with other versions (where APNs internet/mms done the job), is that true?
Guest biron_w Posted August 9, 2010 Report Posted August 9, 2010 Thanks for the help, will give it a try as soon as I will get my Class 6 card.
