Well, I kinda managed to fix MMS-issue, but not sure if it was because of the new ROM or zsolabola mate's help (had to change the MMS APN setting "Authentication method" from "none" to PAP.

Anyone else having this issue could please confirm this?

Edit: it's not enough to change the APN setting - has to press menu and select save (while inside MMS APN settings) in order to make it work... Should have been trying that one with v1.2 so that's what needs to be confirmed.

Well done and thanks ! Sorted my MMS issue out !!

Therefore my conclusion is as follows:

- do not travel to Kent. Once you go east of Ebbsfleet you will not have a working phone.

Simple easy advice! (back to London i go!)

EDIT: actually add Sussex to that list too. East of ebbsfleet= out of bounds, south of horsham = out of bounds. I'll test bournemouth and salisbury later in the week!

(OK I'll bite) OI! what's wrong with Kent?!?!

Yeah I know I had an issue with fancy widget not recognising Ashford, but that was in actual fact Google's problem in so much that their weather api initially recognises Ashford as "Ashford, Kent" but subsequent weather calls to "Ashford, Kent" (instead of just "Ashford") fail... Fix here

Anyway FLB working fine here in Ashford!!

You don't delete ADW, just select LauncherPro as default after you install it and the popup appears. Cheers!

There is a option in LauncherPro, something like system persistent or keep in memory, not sure how it is exactly. Try selecting that and see if it'll be any better.

Which network are you using?

(And we all should thank zsolabola mate for the useful information, I have just been the testing person :) )

Same option in ADW - workin' :)

(But willing to go for LP if that turns out to be the less memory consuming option :D)

Small update coming with launcherpro instead of ADW then? :)

As you said the new launcherpro is now faster than ADW i've put it on. Which is good as I can now use the plus widgets I paid for!

I'll continue to build FLB with ADW as thats always quite light. LauncherPro is easily installed from the market but I may do a flashable zip to remove adw and replace with LauncherPro.

Ahoy flibble, Superuser 2.3 released, just in case you missed it:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=682828

Cheers!

Hm, dont flash this right now. Any apps with superuser permissions work fine and it grants permissions for new apps correctly but the actual superuser app crashes every time. Quite a few people are reporting this over at XDA.

OK, just in time, I was about to try it out :) Waiting for 2.3.1 than.

I've done a little tinkering here and there and got some interesting findings:

I have stock messaging app, and using Handcent as my main messaging app. Yesterday night, i was able to send mmses out through Handcent with the APN freshly set up. Hours later, it stopped working. I have no idea why. (stopped working, as in, it cannot receive nor send mmses)

I restarted the phone, thinking that it could be a problem with the phone, but i fell asleep waiting for it to restart, haha. So when i woke up this morning, i continued on with some tinkering and found out that, setting Authentication type inside the APN setting to "PAP OR CHAP" enabled me to send and receive mmses ONLY on stock messaging app, and NOT Handcent.

Well, just so you know, i'm not signed on to any data plan, so my APN Type must be set to "mms", if not my credit balance (i'm using prepaid) will fluctuate (increases and decreases) every few minutes. By setting APN type to "mms", there will be no green button beside my APN, and also the phone will only use that APN for mms, and not some other data usages.

Actually I think Kent is staging a takeover bid for East Sussex. I regularly stay in a hotel in East Sussex & my phone always reports me as being in Snodland in Kent which is miles away. :)

Thank you very much for this new ROM.

Is there a way that the keyboad touches are lighted when a mail or SMS is received ?

Sorry, forgot to mention that... atm I'm on UK 2.1, before that I was on TRE with FLB 1.2, and still had the same problem, I guess it might be a provider (I'm on T-Mo) or sms-card related?
