Guest Simon O Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 (edited) Booting 1.4 now (full wipe cause of the SU issue)... What an awesome boot animation XD!! Thanks. It's the no-text version of the Cyanogenmod 6 boot animation by 73v1n recoloured. You can download the original cyan version from http://www.megaupload.com/?d=U4LBS3C4 The animation was freely released to the Android community. However I won't be adding any text to this as I don't want it to look like a rip-off of Cyanogenmod if you understand. MD5 hashes added to the first page. Edited August 16, 2010 by flibblesan

Guest arlindo.costa Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 Moved Dalvik cache to internal memory Rebooted into recovery Wiped dalvik cache Flashed FLB 1.4 and ended up with the same superuser problems... had to install from http://bit.ly/su2321ef Other than that FLB 1.4 seems to be running well. The boot animation is :D :D ;) :D :D Thanks Flibblesan
Guest Rem1x Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 I can't get 1.4 to boot with my custom theme. It was fine on 1.31. It patched the framework, the settings, messaging and the calender.

Guest giabbe1 Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 do we still have the option to remove the custom launcher and go back to the stock one? I personally prefer it and seems much lighter than anything else (adw, launcherpro, ...)

Just download the launcher from the link on the first page (may need to scroll down a bit).
Guest Simon O Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 Ah! Well that would make sense, I'll go hack up a ROM, no worries :D No system files have been updated so you can delete the ones from 1.4 and replace with the files from 1.31. I have removed some apps that just didn't make any sense in keeping though (Huawei crap).

Guest taotaobujue Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 hi, flibblesan, Thanks again for the update. Just wondering if we need to do "cachesd". After upgrading to 1.4, the internal memory is about 64mb. I remember that i could get about 85mb after "cachesd" when using the 1.3. I just tried "cachesd" on 1.4 and it seems it does not make any difference.
Guest Sl4yer Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 I upgraded from 1.3 to 1.4 without a wipe (except for the Dalvik cache). All went well except for the Sync and SU permissions, both of which are now sorted! :D Can't say I've noticed any changes, although I do seem to have more RAM free now (which can't be bad).
Guest Simon O Posted August 16, 2010 Report Posted August 16, 2010 (edited) Woohoo. I've had my first ever reboot with FLB :D I feel so honoured. Marking an email as archive. Edit: And the bloody logs are reset after a reboot... lovely :S Edited August 16, 2010 by flibblesan

Guest hiworld Posted August 17, 2010 Report Posted August 17, 2010 hi, flibblesan, Thanks again for the update.I‘ve got a 1.2 tmo, it works very well, but the 1.4 update has a error at line 384( write_raw_image PACKAGE:boot.img ). Because the boot.img in 1.2tmo has a different size. If fastboot the boot.img in 1.2tmo,the mix flbmod is work well, except the wifi. When the wifi is active, the phone will be reboot. I've try to update UK2.1,TRE2.1 and HU2.1, only the Hu 2.1 can sucess.I want to update 1.4, How can I do?
Guest Simon O Posted August 17, 2010 Report Posted August 17, 2010 Odd i got the update fine(Like the new boot animation) but on build number it says1.2 not 1.4 and no superuser ... If you've flashed vanilla firmware, which you have, then it will set the build to 1.2. It's only because the build.prop is replaced to set the correct text colour.

Use the small update provided by Huawei to allow you to install Android 1.5 again and update with T-Mobile December Update followed by the UK 2.1 update. There are a few Chinese here that can help you with this, or read the guides at HiAPK.
Guest Simon O Posted August 17, 2010 Report Posted August 17, 2010 Just to let you guys know I've found a bug I missed. The default ringtone is set to silent :D You might want to change this. Sorry.
