Guest aidanj Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 this rom is pretty fantastic, given the pulse's low amount of available ram. you've done a fantastic job on this simon - so thank you very much, it's highly appreciated. i love the linux community, it's just brilliant. great work!
Guest Jankov Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 I use the beta3 version for almost 2 weeks and i'm satisfied with this version. If this starts crashing i'll try beta5. off topic: I just saw what a great features has the new iPhone 4. I mean WOW -You can change the home screen wallpaper, -You can make video calls, -You can create folders and organize your apps. and... Multitasking?! Whats this and how it works? ;)

Guest whackster Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 Newsflash. Darktremor A2SD was updated recently. I didn't notice until now so sadly haven't added this version to the ROM yet. However if you want to try it out you can grab it from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=670087 and notice that FLB-MOD is listed on that page ;) This version adds support for running dalvik-cache from the /cache partition. Unfortunately this partition on our phones is too small so this will fail (well, did for me). does the new version work with our Pulse out of the box, or I need to change some mount points around?
Guest demetr1os Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 Maybe i am out off topic but today Google released froyo 2.2 RTM. There is any possibility to use it in our pulse??
Guest bindi Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 Maybe i am out off topic but today Google released froyo 2.2 RTM. There is any possibility to use it in our pulse?? There is a thread for this already... Froyo Source
Guest demetr1os Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 There is a thread for this already... Froyo Source Because I am really noob. I jyst asked if we can install it in oure pulse... ;)
Guest bindi Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 Because I am really noob. I jyst asked if we can install it in oure pulse... ;) Well Google only released the source. It hasn't been released as an update for Pulse yet. Modaco community is working on making this run on our pulse but we don't know when this will happen.
Guest Simon O Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 does the new version work with our Pulse out of the box, or I need to change some mount points around? Works out of the box. The only part that doesn't work is moving dalvik to the cache partition. It's too small on the Pulse (less than 20MB)

It's too small on the Pulse (less than 20MB) well I tried flashing a2sd right after flashing FLB 5.1, and on a2sd check it says that it can't mount the correct partitions?

Guest vassk Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 (edited) Again, I wrote an opinion in the new beta 5.1 version. This article was written in Hungarian. http://cvk.hu/2010/06/24/t-mobile-pulse-flb-rom-beta-5-1/ Edited June 24, 2010 by vassk
Guest Azurren Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 Personally I don't like the ADW launcher. It is not half as smooth as Launcher pro, the app tray animation is laggy and jolts and the bouncing / elastic animation isn't half as good ;) Plus I like the screen to respond to your swipes. Not scroll after you swipe I think I'll go back to beta 3

Nothing is stopping you installing it yourself though.

Guest Simon O Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 (edited) Updates: Two small flashable zip files. One for updating ADW launcher to 0.8.7 and another for replacing ADW with LauncherPro 0.6.2 for those that miss this app. ADW 0.8.7 update Download: ADW Launcher 0.8.7 System LauncherPro 0.6.2 (replaces ADW) Download: LauncherPro 0.6.2 (ignore the ghostly time in the screen grab. DDMS was being special) Edited June 24, 2010 by flibblesan
Guest Totyasrác Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 Gone. Thanks God... :) (And flibblesan, of course :( ) Will check beta5.1 probably later today ;)
Guest jlgmax Posted June 24, 2010 Report Posted June 24, 2010 Hi sorry to ask such a trivial question, but is the selection colour used in the menus green on this ROM ? Im currently using another ROM off this forum which has the menu highlighting set to green and it looks really good - not sure if this is a 2.1 default thing or not ? Thanks.
