Any one help? Steps under taken Installed Hungarian 2.1 update Installed Recovery Image Wiped Data/Factory Reset Partitioned SD Card
Guest Ellia Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 Is the SMS receiving bug fixed in this ROM or is that a android 2.1 HU ROM problem that couldn't be fixed by you?
Guest biron_w Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 Bad. That breaks A2SD on my ROM due to the new version being used. You can just use the A2SD in my rom and move dalvik to SD from a terminal or adb shell. How would I do it from a terminal? I can't get ADB working on my pc.

Wipe the device again, reboot back into recovery and flash the update again. Try downloading again if it still fails.

Guest petz20099 Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 Ciao Fibblesan, only few informations: 1) I'm italian and I have an italian sim into the pulse: after wiping, the first reboot it asked for changing language but I didn't change and automatically it started with italian language. So, the italian is supported by your rom but you should not change it otherwise it will not possibile to set it back to italian through GUI, I think. 2) Today I applied the update but I had a lot of freeze in black screen. I don't know if it happened when I was in black screen or the black screen appeared after the freeze. I did wipe and now it seems stable. Thank you for your hard work! Sergio
Guest XSAk Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 I would suggest, that if you ever consider a new boot logo, then maybe having a constant Android logo on the black screen would (while the pulse text is flashing) be a good idea. I mean if I am waiting for my booting device, and I don't watch it for seconds (between the flashes), I could think, that it's turned off. (My English is quite limited to explain this better, but hopefully you get it).
Guest JohnPorter Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 Now installed and looks very impressive. NOw just need to be brave to see if I can check to see if A2SD is working or not. Excellent work flibblesan, looking forward to the final release.
Guest ak888 Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 (edited) IGNORE THIS - new ADW Launcher settings fixed issue. Edited June 29, 2010 by ak888
Guest Sl4yer Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 Moved from 0.4 which I found great - didn't have time to upgrade to 0.5 - but now I do. I upgraded to 0.51 and also applied the patch at the same time (one after another). Did a wipe and a dalvik wipe as well. However - my red and green phone icons (from the screenshot) shows LAB and RAB instead. Is this what it should be? Or have I upgraded incorrectly? Those are customisable buttons. Drag what you want them to do (messaging or browser maybe) onto them, and that's what they do. You can disable the screen dots if you like, and have 5 buttons instead. Choose carefully though. I haven't found a way to change your customisation choices. But that's probably because I'm old and a bit thick.

Guest biron_w Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 su a2sd cachesd I did that. Phone memory is still going down
Guest Mike Mc Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 How do you install the "small update" ?
Guest Sl4yer Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 How do you install the "small update" ? Download and copy it to your SD card. Boot to Recovery (which you've already installed) Nandroid backup (if you prefer, and why not?) Flash the update Reboot I'd reboot after the first boot just to be sure too.
Guest Simon O Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 Cheers - just found out and editted my silly question out as I realised it was a new configurable launcher! They come like that by default with AWD. I'll compile my old version of the launcher soon that will have these shortcuts set up already (but still customizable).
Guest RH13 Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 Apart from the official T-Mobile update, was too afraid to flash my Pulse. I saw the Hungarian update and flashed it. I thought it was a pretty buggy. I then decided to try an unofficial ROM and chose this one, (5.1). Compared to what I've used before - very very good. I too did not get the LAB RAB thing until I accidentally stuck something to the "buttons" I seem to have downloaded loads of apps. (The Hungarian ROM really left little space). I bought a class 6 SD and I guess I'm storing the apps on there. Cache or no cache on SD, how would I tell? To anyone using an official ROM, "You don't know what you're missing!" Thanks to all those clever people who make this possible.

You will be storing apps on there. Install and run Terminal Emulator, then type: su [Allow superuser permissions if it asks] a2sd check See what the report says.
Guest Simon O Posted June 29, 2010 Report Posted June 29, 2010 Thanks for the support guys. The next update will be a non-beta version of the ROM and will take a little longer to be ready. If any major bugs crop up with 5.1 then I'll release another hotfix. I'm no longer working alone on this ROM. I've recruited somebody you all know (and love*) and he is a well known and respected member of our little Pulse community at MoDaCo. I won't mention his name but if he comes along then he'll say hello. Some very exciting things are planned for this ROM. I cannot say anything specific now but myself and my assistant are currently testing some new features which may or may not make it into the ROM. I'm not accepting any more testers, sorry. * in a non homo-erotic way. Sorry, love-party Dan
