Guest DanWilson Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 Ok once again ....and this is a quote from Paul some back ago when I asked how I can be sure that a2sd is working: Paul-Install RootExplorer and browse to data/app and if you see that app is installed there and up in RootExplorer you see your partition minus space for installed app's, then it is working End of quote. /data/app - all apps, includes any apps not installed with A2SD (i.e. No SD card when installed) /system/sd/app - only holds apps installed with A2SD (SD installed apps) If I really wanted to prove my point, I'd wipe my phone, install one app without SD card in, and a different one with the SD card in. /data/app would have the first app, and /system/sd/app would have the second.  :D
Guest DanWilson Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 Little help here, I cant install the FLB mod? E:No signature (7 files) E:Verification failed Instalation aborted[/codebox] Sounds like the download corrupted a bit, try downloading again. Good luck!

Guest Lentz-it Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 I only wanted to tell that your mod is by far the best working, to bad theres no support for swedish in it....would be nice to have sms spelling support in the right language. 3Sweden will according to facebook realese an 2.1 update for the U8220 on friday (today). I have now reset the phone to default 1.5 version and after the upgrade to 2.1 i will sell it and buy one thats more future safe. Next time i buy another phone i will find out the spec first before buying so i dont end up with this kind of crap again. I will be back soon with another phone...propably HTC since Huawei realy sucks on the aftermarket stuff and theres also more mod-action on other devices :-)
Guest tabor56 Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 (edited) after trying the stock 2.1 but being unhappy with the freezes i removed it, is this rom actually usable for every day use? Edited June 30, 2010 by tabor56
Guest DanWilson Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 after trying the stock 2.1 but being unhappy with the freezes i removed it, is this rom actually usable for every day use? I use it. I don't notice many freezes, but if I really push it (music, games, browser, multitask), it'll slow right down. Although the problem I get most is the keyboard takes AGES to come up, and then it disappears in seconds, and takes AGES coming up again.
Guest Stoned Rider Posted June 30, 2010 Report Posted June 30, 2010 I found out that phone is restarting every 1/2 - 1 hour if i keep the wireless on. Everything else is working like a charm... And one question - can you make ext2 partition bigger without erasing all apps. It seems that i burned all 512 MB of space for apps... don't know how. I've checked system/sd/app folder and it is 393MB and i only have 8 mb free

I'm really too tired to explain right now, but A2SD+ fixes this, but creates errors in this ROM, and may slow the phone down if the SD card is too slow.

Hi, I noticed slowness after putting the Fancy Widget on desktop...it reaches to be unasable at all and I have to restart the phone. Try to remove the Beautiful or Fancy Widget for some hours. Petz
