Before I forget for the umpteenth time :) What about the 3D Gallery, is there a way to get it fixed for our phones? It seems possible since other custom roms, Villain for Hero for example, have it fixed, and as far as I know the Hero has the same screen res as our Pulse, if that's the issue. I installed the Gallery from that rom nut the same stupid rotation bug is still there. Eben as it is it's miles better then the default one, which is slow and just plain dumb :D Cheers!

There is an updated 3D gallery that fixes the rotation bug http://android.modaco.com/index.php?act=at...st&id=56291 :D

Am tring to install this but keep getting the following error:

E:Can't chown/mod /system/bin/fixa2sd

(No such file or directory)

E: Failure at line 5:

set perm 0 0 0777 SYSTEM:bin/fixa2sd

Installation aborted.

I've wiped using the wipe data/factory rest option and cleared evenything off the SD card except the nandroid backup and FLB zip file. I've also re-downloaded the zip.

I tried a Dalvik cache wipe too but that gave me an error "Error: Run 'wipe davlik' via adb!

Any help much appreciated.

Edit: Wiping davlik is working now but still no joy. Also, the first time I tried I followed these instructions:

http://android.modaco.com/content/t-mobile...e/#entry1318836

but copied the FLB zip uisng an SD card reader but just read on the picture guide that you need to copy directly to the SD card in the phone. Tried that too, but still didn't work :)

Which rom are you on now? If you are on 1.5, you need to flash the hungarian update first.

I'm on the Hungarian 2.1 ROM. Firmware version says "2.1-update1" Build number is "U8220V100R001C85B815"

I believe that the issue was that the busybox run-parts that was being launched to run apps2sd was running way too late in the init.rc. It was at the end, but you had it running automatically rather than forcing it at the beginning before dalvikvm started. I know this was discussed on XDA Developers: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.p...p;postcount=588

So, technically, it's not an issue with Darktremor Apps2SD.

You may want to check out Darktremor Apps2SD 2.7.5...it's more improvements to the code: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=715116

Small warning. Please don't update Darktremor Apps2SD for the time being. There is a bug which is affecting my ROM and a few others. If you use this version and move dalvik cache to SD then you will have serious problems. I've let the author know and I'm waiting for feedback.

Based on what I can see so far the latest version is unable to mount the /data partition on boot which results in dalvik-vm not being able to find it's cache, and causes a crap load of force closes and a very slow boot.

I've reported the bug.

Yep and with help from yourself I patched the init.rc script in the boot.img and Darktremor has worked correctly ever since. I'm currently running 2.7.5 on my device and it's excellent.

Don't know if this is the right place for this question or it should be new thread, but maybe its to do with the ROM so will ask it here. It's probably a dumb question anyway. :)

I was thinking now that I have 2.1 on the phone that I should be able to install Google Goggles. But I still don't see it in Market. Am I missing something? Or is it something to do with the FLB-ROM?

That app is region depended so you need to install Market Enabler first then try to search it, or download it from the net then just install it on your phone :)

Google is US only sadly. Most of the technology used in that app has been put into Google Shopper anyway.

Thanks, guys. That makes sense now. I only wanted to play with it. I'll find some other toys to play with. :)

I have no idea how to do this but could you not install it by finding the .apk of the web and then installing. It's a free app so that would be legal.

Hi,

i'm using FLB since 2 weeks ago, and it's a great ROM but I detect some problems. The first one it's some freezes of all the phone (as I can read in this forum it's normal in version 2.1).

The other one is Android memory usage, as I can see everytime that my phone has less than 19M the Home (AWK) restarts, because Android Core kill it to recover memory (I think).

To know that I use this two programs:

  • Sysmonitor, put the phone System information into notification bar.
  • AutoKiller, useful to tunes the android's inner memory manager.

Did I something wrong? Can I do something to improve the system stability? Anyone have the same problem?

Thank you! and great FLB ROM!

I get no reboots, or LauncherPro restarts. I only really background SeePU+ (I think it's like Sysmonitor), and my phone runs fine. I've also been messing with MeeboIM (Also backgrounded) and the phone still works...
