[ROM] FLB-Mod 1 (Based on Android 2.1)

Hi, I'm using this ROM (awesome work btw!) with a2sd but the internal memory is still decreasing. I think this is from the davlik cache being on the phones internal memory, but I don't want to move it to the SD yet because I only have the slow class 2 card you get with the phone.

I'm looking at getting a 4GB class 4 card next weekend, but I'm wondering how easy it is to transfer all the data across and then the davlik cache across?

And would it be possible to change the amount of space a2sd has partitioned on the card without having to reflash and loose all the settings, or can I go into the custom recovery image and change it without wiping?

I guess if you do a Nandroid backup (+ext of course :P ) then all you have to do is insert the new memory card, partition it the correct way (0 swap, 512MB ext2 and the rest is for data), copy the Nandroid folder from the old to the new SD and do a Nand restore. At least that's the way I'd do it :)

Here is my experience with the new rom:

I had 1.0beta5 update 1 with no problems except maybe ADW unloads. at June 10 I saw the new rom here, was very excited, downloaded it, did nandroid backup, wiped everything, and here are some steps that happened after:

• I flashed 1.0 with ADW and after reboot touchscreen didnt work,
  
• Pulled the battery off, inserted again touch screen started to work
  
• Went back to forum downloaded LauncherPro flashable zip from here, flashed, reboot, no touchscreen again
  
• Reboot again, touch is back
  
• Noticed patch file on the header, downloaded, flashed, no touch screen
  
• Rebooted, touch is back, using LauncherPro, feels smoother than ADW
  
• In the morning of the second day (in about 20 hours after installation) self-reboot while using Advanced Ruler application.
  
• A lot of nerves because of lost measurements, no touch screen after self reboot
  
• Tried to reboot a few more times, no touch screen
  
• After wipe and reflashing the rom with LP, no touch screen anymore
  
• Also noticed that my purchased app ScreenSuite disappeared from the market of the new version
  
• Reversed to beta5.1, continue on for about 12 hours now, no problems, and purchased app is in the market.
  

Too many problems, I cannot remember any less working rom that I installed before. Will wait for some more updates.

Using the rom since the moment you uploaded it. Not a single freeze, FC or reboot (the only prob was the extremely slow boot but that's fixed now). Extremely fast and stable, the best rom I've used so far. Maybe the touchscreen not working is only with users that have the Tre update, I think I noticed mostly Swedish users complaining about the issue, than again maybe I'm wrong :) Keep it up, cheers!

EDIT: Also to mention, dalvik on SD, largeheap and ADW launcher.

I installed this today and I'm amazed at the speed difference between this and 1.5

One thing I have noticed is ADW asks me to force close when I edit the settings and try and go back to the desktop (Guess it takes a while to update) if I press wait it's fine though and it only seems to happen when I'm editing settings so far

EDIT: the android keyboard (latin) Force closes on start for me

Your Rom is nearly perfect, but i cant understand why anybody uses touchpal and voicesearch. HTC_IME ist the best Keyboard availible, and talking to my mobile ist just strange :)

Now my question about apps2sd.

If i connect my pulse to pc, and make the sd card acessable to my pc, do i loose apps2sd?

It appears that the ext partition doesn't mount on the PC so everything stays like it should. I'm not 100% certain though, but I think this is the case.

Been using the ADW version for a bit now, putting it through stress tests with no problems (apart from memory as usual, not the fault of the ROM), so I'm more than happy.

HTC_IME is the best keyboard out there (easily, for me anyway) but it's pretty easy to get and install. No point adding a third keyboard to the mix when most will be happy with the default. Of course I can't understand why anyone would want to use Touchpal but different strokes and all that babble.

i used to use 5.1 ver.

This time i wipe all 3 items and updated the latest, i found touch screen not work

any solution?

I'm trying to re-flash the hungary

ok, all things done the above help nothing, but another reboot after flash the latest rom.....(what happened to me is that when the 1st time boot, touch screen not work until reboot...)

That's ok. Most people have no issues with the touchscreen so it'll be something about your phone.

I flashed Hungarian 2.1 without custom_hu then flashed recovery using fastboot then flashed flb. Touchscreen always works.

I download the 1.0 version from 11 july now, will see if it makes any difference. Strange though, I didnt have any single self reboot since cupcake versions, and touchscreen off - is something I only read about on tre brunch of this forum. I was able to like the speed of this rom though.

Ok, in a way I'm glad you are using T-Mobile 2.1 as I was worried the Tre ROM was causing the problem (I'm using some of this in FLB).

I'm 90% sure that the problem is related to the CUSTOM_HU update. This has caused weird issues for people in the past. The only solution is to flash 2.1 again then recovery, then flash flb.

You could also flash the Tre 2.1 update instead of t-mobile. This will work.

Yeah i did, guess thats what's causing the problem then. Still im not going to flash it again, it isnt a real problem since dont go into recovery mode that much.

Is there a way to install the spanish pack for the touchpal keyboard? by default my 1.5 rom had that installed...
