Guest naniteboy Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 (edited) Quick alert: Astro file manager is reporting that it will expire. I'll try and get this updated or patched (heh). I would recommend ES File Manager :) Is there any special reason to use Astro over ES FM? Or simply a personal choice - I was using Astro at the beginning but got tired of it's forced updates... Btw. just a status report for patched 1.0 after two(three) days... 1. GPS is still running wild every now and then - I have only fancy widget (GPS location off), power control, Search and Astrid widgets on screens - not a really big problem but it seems to drain battery a bit quicker :D 2. Some services still shutdown after a while and Astrid and Fancy widget stop refreshing (and no alarm!) - this happens every day, few times - after (really quick) reboot - it's all good again... 3. AWD still unloads now and then - it is a lot quicker to restart than in beta5.1 but still a bit annoying - is LaucherPro really a lot better here or not, and if so, why? I see different opinions so I ask again :P? All in all - nothing too serious or not already seen on our low-mem phones :P Ignorable amount of FCs, absolutely no reboots - so far, so good. And one question: I tried to shutdown LocationFriendService since I'm not using Latitude but it is, of course, started again on reboot - how can I change what is started automatically and what is not? My way to FLB-MOD 1.0: T-Mobile stock --> MCR 1.7 --> Hungary 2.1 --> CUSTOM_HU --> FLB beta1 --> beta3 --> beta 5.1 --> 1.0 + patch B) Edited July 12, 2010 by naniteboy
Guest goce.nakov Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 Push email from gmail from some time it's stop to work (sync doesn't work)
Guest brack Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 (edited) Ok, looks like the problem was in CUSTOM_HU see what I did now and everything is working as it should so far:got Official HU update without CUSTOM_HUinstall recovery imageflashed flb mod 1.0 using recovery modeI didnt check my purchased market item yet though. Will do it later. Sorry to tell, my problem is back, touch screen is off. I tried to repeat the process of installing official 2.1 without CUSTOM_HU then recovery image, then 1.0 - no touchscreen till reboot. CORRECTION:I did already two reboots, before touchscreen started to work. and when I tried to flash launcherpro zip - the same issue. Edited July 12, 2010 by brack
Guest Simon O Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 Oh... lovely :) I wonder if the Tre kernel is causing all these new issues? I need to try and find out and make a decision to ditch it or not.
Guest brack Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 Oh... lovely :) I wonder if the Tre kernel is causing all these new issues? I need to try and find out and make a decision to ditch it or not. I didnt have tre on my phone EVER!
Guest brack Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 I didnt have tre on my phone EVER! ok, I just installed it now for the first time. Used time machine, will try to install your rom now, because tre 2.1 didnt have the problem with touchscreen for me.
Guest Simon O Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 I didnt have tre on my phone EVER! Um, that isn't what I meant at all. FLB uses the newer kernel from the Tre rom (as mentioned on first page).
Guest dobre Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 Phone type - Pulse Country - Macedonia Network - T-mobile Working on any other roms - Any roms 3G works on? All FLB ROM, MoDaCo Custom ROM for T-Mobile Pulse with online kitchen (When 3g is turned on, i have problem with ringing... After 2-3 seconds of ringing, the ring is very quiet. If 3g is disable - "use only 2g network is ON", then i don't have that problem with ringing) WiFi working? - Yes

Could you do exactly as you did before by going into recovery and flashing something, then reboot. See if touchscreen still fails for you please.
Guest brack Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 Ok. Could you do exactly as you did before by going into recovery and flashing something, then reboot. See if touchscreen still fails for you please. Yep, the problem is still there. Any reboot via recovery or via the included program causes "touchscreen off" problem. Only power off/on (sometimes more then one time) solves the problem (temporary)
Guest killahtm Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 (edited) i have install yesterday flb mod 1.0 without any problems, and so far no problems, except with ADW, but i use Launcher Pro so its okay. tnx :) Edited July 12, 2010 by killahtm
Guest brack Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 Ok. Could you do exactly as you did before by going into recovery and flashing something, then reboot. See if touchscreen still fails for you please. Now I reinstall swedish tre again and will try to repeat the same steps with recovery image. Will see if this image causes the same problems with this official rom.
Guest biron_w Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 I wonder why the tre kernel is (possibly) causing problems for some people and not for others? I have no problems with this rom and i've gone straight from the hungarian 2.1 update>flb beta's>flb1.0.
Guest brack Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 Now I reinstall swedish tre again and will try to repeat the same steps with recovery image. Will see if this image causes the same problems with this official rom. HE,HE (this is nervous) - I installed recovery on fresh "no-problem" tre's 2.1 and tried to reboot from there... voila - I have no touchscreen... dont know if it proofs anything, but I was able to "reconstruct" my problem.

Another new reveling - if I do adb shell reboot with official tre rom, I get no-touchscreen as well.
Guest biron_w Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 Is there any way to get the "my notepad" emotion widget back? It's not on the 1.0 release but was on the beta's.
Guest rss2k Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 Hi coming from FLBmobv1.0 beta 3 and after 1.0 install the touchscreen is not working. Standard T-Mobile Pulse.

Hi coming from FLBmobv1.0 beta 3 and after 1.0 install the touchscreen is not working. Standard T-Mobile Pulse. Both of you can flash this update from recovery. It will downgrade the kernel to the one used in FLB betas. flbmod_kernel.zip
Guest Simon O Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 Is there any way to get the "my notepad" emotion widget back? It's not on the 1.0 release but was on the beta's. huawei_widgets.zip Download and extract and either push them to your phone or copy the .apk files to your SD card and install using Astro.
Guest brack Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 Both of you can flash this update from recovery. It will downgrade the kernel to the one used in FLB betas. flbmod_kernel.zip But then what is the point to suffer? if it's not for new kernel, then why wouldnt I stay with beta5.1?
Guest brack Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 Another new reveling - if I do adb shell reboot with official tre rom, I get no-touchscreen as well. One more finding - I reflashed official tre, but didnt install amonra recovery, after that I went to default recovery tool, and rebooted from there, THE SAME PROBLEM! so, I conclude - there is no problem with recovery, it is a problem with tre update and my hardware.
Guest Richard van Nieuwenhuizen Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 Push email from gmail from some time it's stop to work (sync doesn't work) I have similar problem now with FLB Mod v1.0. I just noticed I have new e-mail only after manual sync of GMail. :) E-mail was there almost 4 hrs. :D I'm thinking about going back to previous version. :P
Guest JohnPorter Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 Had my first issue last night. Turned on WiFi using the Power Control Widget and used Facebook for a short while. When I went to turn Wifi off again it wouldn't turn off using the Power Control Widget. When I went into settings to turn Wifi off it was already off! Then trying to get back to the Home Screen I got a FC.

Agreed. Have you tried the kernel update I posted?
Guest Simon O Posted July 12, 2010 Report Posted July 12, 2010 But then what is the point to suffer? if it's not for new kernel, then why wouldnt I stay with beta5.1? FLB 1.0 is more than just a new kernel. Of course you are free to produce your own rom.
