[ROM] FLB-Mod 1 (Based on Android 2.1)

Both of you can flash this update from recovery. It will downgrade the kernel to the one used in FLB betas.

Now the touchscreen does work, but when I try to turn on wifi the phone reboots. I have installed the 1.0 patch. Now I'll try without the patch.

I think it was a mistake using the Tre kernel in the FLB 1.0 rom. I've replaced it with the t-mobile kernel and everything works as it did before with the advantage that touchscreen works for people that lost it. SMS receiving and sending still works.

I'll try and get an update uploaded in the new day or two.

FLB 1.0 is more than just a new kernel. Of course you are free to produce your own rom.

I just have to say...

Please don't get discouraged with problems some people are having with 1.0!

It seems to me that most of FLB-ROM users are very satisfied with it (as I am)

and it's simply unfortunate that some people are experiencing real problems

(which obviously can be solved one way or another).

You are doing a great job and it's noticeable that you're putting a lot of effort into this!

I agree I've had no major problems with it I upgraded like this

1.5 dec -> Tre -> This and haven't had any problems apart from ADW being a pain

ADW problems I'm having:

It seems to take a while on first boot to render the lock screen correctly... not major since I don't reboot my phone often

Exiting the ADW settings seems to freeze ADW for a while half fixed by setting it to persistent but when I edit a setting it happens again

Android Keyboard crashes on startup (I'm planning on using HTC IME anyway) not sure what the problem with this is

Touch screen is working fine I've restarted the phone at least 5 times and it has worked every time

I just wish ADW wasn't being such a pain it might be because I'm not using a2sd yet I'm stuck on the phones memory until my new micro sd card arrives from amazon

Hi it fixes the reboot, but the phone complains it cannot start wifi. No probs about the problems. It's a choice,

we could have stayed with the default 1.5.

I dont think its the new kernel. I had all the same issues.

I just forget to wipe everything correctly.

After a complete wipe (will delete everything)

Wipe data/factory reset

Wipe Dalvik-cache

Wipe SD:ext partition

Wipe battery stats

Wipe rotate settings

Then i tried to flash the file "xxxx.zip" again.

(I dont know if you realy need to flash it again. I also dont know which "wipe" you realy need.

But i did them all :))

Now i have no such issues anymore.

I also some problems with 3G. I noticed when i change something in the APN-settings i had to reboot my phone.

After that 3G worked.

A2sd is already set up. You need only a ext2 partition on your sd. For example you can use amonrarecovery. I am use a 512 mb partition.

A2sd sets up automatically application on the sd partion.

I just want to say I very happy with your 1.0 (ADW) version, and it is working fine for me.

Come to FLB 1.0 from Paul's 2.1 r7 2.1 rom, and I faced with no FC and much-much quicker response :)

Yes that is normal because your Dalvik is still on phone memory.

If you want to move Dalvik on Sd card in the terminall type su folowed by a2sd cachesd

Beware you need atleast class4 sd card for dalvik to work properly

You may still notice your phone memory goes down with that as well but it's only slight. I installed a 2MB app yesterday and my phone memory went from 69.67MB to 69.60MB or something like that.

That's just cache from browser/market/youtube. You can clear it in settings/applications/manage applications or with some cache clearing app like -cache mate-

ok, After all troubles and tries, I'm back to 5.1beta1. I'm so happy with my phone now, everything is working and working fast. I tried 1.0 with all patches, to make it work on my device. Tried it with and without, LauncherPro but 1.0 is so slow, sometimes unusable for me, specially right after boot and wakeup. Will wait for different version or will try to build my own rom on vacation.
