Guest igor_anta Posted July 14, 2010 Report Posted July 14, 2010 It seems to work, but not totally sure  The custom scripts. you click them, they will ask for superuser if not already granted, then run. press back to finish. Hahaha, it's really hard to tell isn't it :D Also have you thought about putting AdBlock in the rom? I'm sure everyone would like to live without pesky adds ;) Cheers!

Air Control for example <3
Guest fredewis Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 hi i have flb 1.0 and is great so far how can i speed up the home botton it takes a wile for my desktop to load is loncher pro beter then adw and is there a way of deleting note pad and emails and any other defoult app i dont use thankx hope i get the answer and this rom rocks thankx alot
Guest tabor56 Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 got all my Wi-fi issues sorted now (it was my router :-S) so this rom is perfect, nice one! really wanted rid of my Pulse but if you carry on releasing roms like this might be able to see out my 2 year contract . Thanks again
Guest igor_anta Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 I have but as it's so easy to install from the market, I won't add it. Not fair on the app developers that make some fantastic apps. Air Control for example <3 Well the ads don't really affect the developers unless you mean "why would someone pay for the adfree full version of the app when they have a rom that blocks ads". In that case you're absolutely right  One more thing I wanted to know, if we have more memory available, let's say we get swap working on a custom kernel, than that means there is enough memory for JIT to run on our phones? As I understood JIT caused freezes or reboots because of the lack of memory, or am I wrong? Cheers!
Guest Ellia Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 This is by faaaar the best rom ive had on my pulse, absolutely fabtastic fibble. Best release so far, miiiles faster. And i am a Tmobile customer who DID have the SMS issues on some previous roms, namely the betas and Pauls Beta 2.1. Its very intermittent though, and you dont always know when youve missed texts so i cant be sure. But this knew kernel seems to have fixed this frustrating problem, so ill be reeeeally diasapointed if it has to go :D especially seeing as i had zero problems with 1.0 and saw a serious performance enchancement :D Oh well, great work  Only for the sake of completeness: The SMS issue appear also with other 2.1 ROMs for o2 Germany users too. But never noticed this issue with FLB 1.0 so far. Let's hope the memory management is with AutoKiller perfect enough to receive and send all SMS ;).
Guest Basher52 Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 Experienced Wlan issues today... my joikuspot symbian hotspot was not found, while iPhone 3gs could connect easily. Question according the next flb: How aggressive do you made memorymanagement? optimum or strict settings? I recomment you moving more apps to sd, like gallery, vpn, music, custom script etc. which are not system crital. Performance will improve a lor, testet it yesterday.
Guest Nick Elks Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 (edited) I want to replace framework-res.apk and alter build.prop as per post #1321 but when I try to adb pull or adb push it fails because the filesystem is read only. What am I missing? Edited July 15, 2010 by Nick Elks
Guest mr.a Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 I want to replace framework-res.apk and alter build.prop as per post #1321 but when I try to adb pull or adb push it fails because the filesystem is read only. What am I missing? type adb remount to mount the system as read/write and then do the commands (at least thats what i think it is )
Guest Nick Elks Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 type adb remount to mount the system as read/write and then do the commands (at least thats what i think it is ) $ adb remount remount succeeded $ adb shell # mv /system/framework/framework-res.apk framework-res.apk.bak mv: cannot remove 'framework-res.apk.bak': Read-only file system #
Guest whackster Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 (edited) $ adb remount remount succeeded $ adb shell # mv /system/framework/framework-res.apk framework-res.apk.bak mv: cannot remove 'framework-res.apk.bak': Read-only file system # try overwriting it $ adb remount $ adb push framework.res /system/framework/ should work, but you have to reboot right away $ adb reboot Edited July 15, 2010 by whackster
Guest Simon O Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 Experienced Wlan issues today... my joikuspot symbian hotspot was not found, while iPhone 3gs could connect easily. I really wouldn't call that an issue unless you have absolutely no working wifi. Why do you need to connect to another phones wifi anyway? Question according the next flb: How aggressive do you made memorymanagement? optimum or strict settings? Optimum. They are the best settings I've personally used and seems to be what most G1, Hero and Pulse users are using according to the AutoKiller website. I recomment you moving more apps to sd, like gallery, vpn, music, custom script etc. which are not system crital. Performance will improve a lor, testet it yesterday. An interesting idea but I really don't want to be moving applications from the system partition (where users cannot install applications) onto the data partition. It's low in space as it is.
Guest brack Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 try overwriting it $ adb remount $ adb push framework.res /system/framework/ should work, but you have to reboot right away $ adb reboot There is right answer above - use sudo adb, not just adb

You can go straight to FLB from the Tre rom.
Guest brack Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 hay flb is a great rom one question how do you delete some defoult apps that i done use eg notepad or emails There are several ways to achieve this - adb shell, root explorer, titanium backup. Root explorer is not free though. Titanium backup would be free and the most simple. Adb involves some command line work. Maybe there are more ways but I don't know them.

Hit Menu, Settings, scroll to bottom then select Root Options. Enable Root Explorer (choose Cyanogen) and Mount File System.

Guest brack Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 hi i ust downloaded titanium back up could u explain to me the proses of deleting this anoying apps many thankx Go to list of apps in titanium, press menu->filter-> insert the name of your system app e.g. "mail" Apply this filter, click on found app and hit "Uninstall". Or simply find the app you want to remove in the list of apps, click on it and hit "Uninstall".
Guest Nick Elks Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 $ sudo adb remount $ sudo adb remount sudo: adb: command not found $
