Guest ntanghe Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 Hi, Can I install this custom rom from Swedish 2.1 rom (or I must use Hungarian rom) ?
Guest gusthy Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 Hi, Can I install this custom rom from Swedish 2.1 rom (or I must use Hungarian rom) ? it is preferred to install over swedish rom, it uses the kernel of that one, so firmware and kernel will fit.

Guest brack Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 I have a few software suggestions to include in new release: * newer busybox * titanium backup * may be to replace astro file manager with some lighter alternative What are your thoughts?
Guest Ellia Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 I have a few software suggestions to include in new release: * newer busybox * titanium backup * may be to replace astro file manager with some lighter alternative What are your thoughts? After I flashed my Pulse I saw no Astro in the menu. I installed it manually. Should it be build-in after flashing? What was my mistake?
Guest Stevos Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 (edited) I have a few software suggestions to include in new release: * newer busybox Am I right in thinking this is what causes titanium backup to be problematic? Edited July 15, 2010 by Stevos

Guest brack Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 (edited) Am I right in thinking this is what causes titanium backup to be problematic? Partially yes but there is also human factor, when user tries to restore things that shouldn't be restored. I personally had both of those problems. Titanium backup is the tool that should be used with care in case of restoring between different roms. Edited July 15, 2010 by brack
Guest Stevos Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 Partially yes but there is also human factor, when user tries to restore things that shouldn't be restored. I personally had both of those problems. Titanium backup is the tool that should be used with care in case of restoring between different roms. I have only used it to save / restore SMS history (the only thing I can't either sync from google, backup manually or re-download from the market) but restoring has failed on every 2.1 ROM I've ever tried. I figured it was down to the busybox version, but maybe it's also something to do with changing messaging system versions?
Guest holybear Posted July 15, 2010 Report Posted July 15, 2010 With sweaty palms and shaky hands I finally set out to upgrade my Pulse. I've just finished booting into FLB! Without this forum I couldn't even have contemplated such a thing, so thanks to everybody here! Special thanks for flibblesan for the ROM!
Guest Evil Disco Guy Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 (edited) Memory issues are the only problem I'm having with this (and any) 2.1 ROM. Until we grasp the source code out of Huawei's pit and hack swap support in there, this is always going to be the killer issue sadly. For example, I can't read a reasonably sized book in Kindle without it unloading every other app (even then, laggy as hell). I can't listen to music and use Scrobble Droid (or Simple Last.fm) as SD will always die straightaway. I've even had the music player stop mid song while not even using the phone for anything else, just sat in my pocket. Tried AutoKiller on Moderate and Optimum with no difference. The only apps I've installed are Kindle, SD and Seesmic (notifications off), I also deleted Astro, Fancy Widgets and every TouchPal language pack I could. Oh and for those annoyed by Astro, try Estrong. It's free and much more attractive, good features as well. I'd go back to 1.5 but the fact a lot of apps are going 1.6 and above only, plus the huge battery drain, makes that an equally unattractive option. I'll stick with this ROM, it's still the best 2.1 ROM available and I feel it can only get better. Edited July 16, 2010 by Evil Disco Guy
Guest Evil Disco Guy Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 Also I was going to ask if anyone has the stock 2.1 Music APK file. I've found that the Music Mod version (while improved) uses more CPU and memory than the stock app. I was then going to ask how to uninstall Music Mod.
Guest Basher52 Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 Still having strong issues runnig flb 1.0 with Tre 2.1 Rom. Wifi still doesnt find my mobil hotspot, which i have to use for stronger 3g and a volume contract with 5gb instead of 200 mb. Iphone connect without problems, atm writing on. Real great Problem, need any kind of fix. Other problems are a unstable radio/baseband and some mini bugs.
Guest brack Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 I have only used it to save / restore SMS history (the only thing I can't either sync from google, backup manually or re-download from the market) but restoring has failed on every 2.1 ROM I've ever tried. Remember that you will have to see the changes in SMS or contracts after restore. Also there are two different items related to sms in titanium list,I restore them both because i don't know the right one.
