[ROM] FLB-Mod 1 (Based on Android 2.1)

Great. I do prefer the Mod and I'd use it over stock if I had the chance. If it helps, all my music is encoded using LAME (3.98) at V2 quality with 2.4 ID3 tags and 500px album art embedded. Not sure if any of those settings could be the culprit.

Just testing this with FLB-MOD 1.1 and not experiencing any lag that is affecting usage. Got an album in 320kbps playing with album art embedded, reading a book in kindle and I have twitter running in the background with fancy widget.

When you say lag do you mean that the playback stutters a bit or is that always OK and the rest of the phone is sluggish?

Nope. Your apps are being installed to the phone. Run a2sd install

I have done the following on my SD card before I flash the FLB-Mod rom

"0mb" for swap,

"768mb" for ext2

and the rest is automatic fat32

When I noticed the A2SD might not work properly

I had prevously tried

a2sd install

but afterward all the apps have disappeared from my phone

how come it happened?

the question is,

do I have to do SD:ext2 to ext3 in order to get A2SD to work properly?

will a2sd work if i dont do it ?

hi i have been looking arround the forums and found few of my answers but want reasurence that im going down the rigth line(since im sutch a noob that i was shaking wile updating to flb 1.0)i have instal flb 1.0 sucsesfully but downloaded cashe to sd so now can put it back on internal mem were i want it so desided to reinstal flb 1.0 but this time get my self app2sd so ust have to repeat the 1.0 update from bigining and do extra bit for sdcardn by doing so all cashe and everithing will go back to normal ....or do i have to go back official hu befor reinstallig 1.0

I don't know if my experiences with music playing will help...

With 1.5 I used to get a lot of skipping/stuttering and sometimes music would pause itself for no reason. I tried several music players, but all had the same problem. I guess they all use the same low level service to play music so no surprise there. I also had an issue (I think only when using BT headphones, but not 100% sure) of the speed of playback going screwy every now and then. Quite subtle, but like an old cassette tape not playing smoothly.

All of those issues have vanished with FLB-MOD 1.0. Yet another reason why this ROM is so great. :D

But... (there's always a but :angry: ) the only problem I have now is that if I try and listen to music and run my GPS sports tracker app (Endomondo) one or the other one stops after a few minutes. I think its our usual problem - not enough memory. I'm thinking that memory management has changed between 1.5 and 2.1 and so rather than stutter and struggle on, one or other app is getting shut out completely.

Got a new class 10 memory card now so I'm going to reflash from scratch, make sure app2sd is properly configured and see if situation improves.

Don't mean to rush but do you know when you expect to upload 1.1 for use? I am having issues with 1.0 with freezing and slow (Wiped everything few times and still same). Just about to update with 1.0 again this time with ADW launcher.

It's not the testing time holding up release. I physically can't upload the rom until my broadband is back running in the next few days.

It's the phone that feels sluggish, even with all the ADW animations turned off. I am willing to accept this is a localised problem (i.e. just me) because I haven't seem any other complaints.

sorry, that happens if you don't have a ext partition set up, which I guess you don't :D Just continue to formatting your sd, follow all the steps and you should be fine :angry:

hi am i pressed flash zip from sd card and it said no zip found im seriously scared now lol

If you formatted the sd card then you will have wiped the zip file off, just copy it back over and try again.

if you are formatting the sd, you have to partition it too... just follow the guide to the letter :angry:

If you don't make an ext partition a2sd won't work, so if you want it disabled, don't make a partiton.

ok i have a 2g mem card it says on phone 1.21gb and available internal space is space is 42.98 mb so not to sure if i got app to sd

Just want to post in this topic to give a thanks to Flibblesan and everyone else who has helped shape and tweak this rom. Installed it on my Pulse over the weekend (full phone history= 1.5 > December Update > Hungarian 2.1 without the HU_Update > FLB 1.0) and have had no issues with 3G, WiFi, Touchscreen or anything else.
