[ROM] FLB-Mod 1 (Based on Android 2.1)

hi

seemed to have installed 1.1 okay (though could not wipe ext - came with an error)

only issue seems to be when i power off phone - when it reboots it ask me to set home app and screen blanks; after setting home app to default launcher and clicking back button several times it seems to boot to normal home screen.

any ideas?

At first, real great thanks to you (flibblesan) at all. I was close to do an donaten today, but signing up for paypal takes me some days, will come later :angry:

New: Moderate memory management settings added to kernel init.rc. No need for AutoKiller.

As i gave you the hind, you were speaking of Optimum settings. Were they to strong to keep all apps running?

Is A2SD working on this version?

Installed the ROM ok, running a2sd check in Terminal Emulator shows the list but nothing in the square brackets [ ] to indicate of the option is enabled, it does say at the side tho that programs run from sd --- is this correct?

By the changelog, I think I won't "update" to this version. I have no problems with the 1.0 and I'm happy with it for now :angry:

I have installed FLB 1.1 no problems and its blazing fast.

But everytime now I want to connect the Pule to my XP machine it says new Hardware found - which drivers do I use?

I have installed v1.1. everything works fine. But i have a problem with font style. Font default can't display unicode text. i compared 2 rom vers. No diffence in folder font. But in old version font displays unicode text well (Vietnamese). I think this problem maybe in touchpad settings.

How to change font style now? Any help? Thanks you (Sry cause my bad english)

It does appear to be working fine. Apps are being installed to the SD Card.

Yeah, I tried Exploder and donwloaded the ROM fine.

So far, so good, faster than 1.0, LauncherPro more silky and my memory problems gone. Programs (like iGO) runs faster. A2SD have some check bug, not indicate with X's the params statuses.

I'm very sorry if this has already been asked - but at 92 pages i don't have the time/desire to look through them all for an answer that should be very easy - is the sms problem (ie not receiving) sorted with FLB? It looks like brilliant work but if you can't use one of the main features of a mobile phone i think i'll keep on waiting.

With the 1.1 ROM I get a camera error: Cannot connect to camera.

Anybody else experiencing this problem?

<EDIT> A reboot fixed the problem.

<EDIT2> BTW, RagingThunder2 is quite playable now. :( (The time attack mode doesn't lag at all, but the racing one still does)

Brilliant!

no issues at all... :

Mybackup (thx patakus!) worked well apart from protected apps and sms-backup, which failed apparently. Just un- and reinstalling solved that protected-apps-problem.

All my minor issues seem to be gone. No acores at all. Only two or three of those "wait-acores" during first boot and reboot due to mybackup-restore. no weired start-up-screen, just booting smooth, event though slightly slower than 1.0.

a2sd check shows me no markers in between the brackets as well, but ap2sd seems to work well. i guess my ap2sd didn't work hundred percent with 1.0, as i now have 45 mb free with 60+ apps installed, after boot and Task Manager Pro run once. that 's minimum 10mb more then before. wow!

... apart from market:

i have only market-issues at the moment. tried Eris Market Fix, which didn 't have any impact at all. should i try market enabler? i could not find a download-link, yet

could be an issue:

i'm not sure about push-idle working hundred percent, but this could be caused by k-9-mail. gonna try maildroid anyway. i'm pretty sure, that i won't loose texts, as i could not get memory below 28mb, yet.

customising:

installed AWD via *.zip-install. is launcher pro completly gone or do i have to delete some more files?

already uninstalled astro and installed estrong. probably i will try to get rid of some further stuff like email, gmail, gallery, huawai-filemanager, fancy-widget, goggle talk, animated wallpapers etc... is it enough to just delete *.apks?

then i'd like to try stock-app for dialer and contacts, as acontacts does not work with RB-version within FLB and that 's the the only one i miss from my old modaco-1.7.-rom. or is that too complicated for a noob like me?

I' m not sure about the new font, yet. I like it, but it 's not as readable as before. Broad letters are not really broad as well.

All-in-all best ROM ever for my pulse! Thank you very much.

Cloning

my wife has a pulse also. she is still on modaco 1.7. as we share our contacts and our appointements and use google apps for serveral email-accounts over a private domain (k-9-mail), i use one google-account on two devices. i cloned (nandroid backup +extended) my modaco-metamorph-1.7 and it worked well . did anyone try to clone 2.1-roms yet?
