Guest irvine Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 My path has been Dec Update -> MCR 1.7 -> Official 2.1 Hungary without Hu --> FLB beta3 -->FLB1.0 My phone has been quite stable and near perfact with 1.0 which I believe have Tre kernel. Hope it helps you to diagonse the issue with Kernel. Same here. Had some problems with the beta versions (crash -> screen black and only keys lighting up once or twice) and 1.0 fixed everything, except for Barnacle stopping now and then and the SMS bug. Will wait for the Tre update. Thanks a lot for ur hard work flib! :( (and damn Virgin Media for being slow :( haha)
Guest Spoke Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Upgraded to 1.1 and all seems to be working fine but seems more sensitive to a weak WiFi signal than 1.0. In my office at home I've always struggled on iPod Touch to get a signal from my router but on the Pulse it has always been rock solid. However, since 1.1 installed it seems to behave more like the iPod in having trouble seeing the signal, maybe a coincidence or could it be a difference between the kernels? Incidentally it was always fine on the old 1.5 December.
Guest vasillek Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 First of all, a2sd is working, just flashed it from TRE, the reason that the * in the bracket is not showing is probably because of the font... i can confirm that a2sd is NOT working, now ive tried it, fresh install, original font, and then su a2sd check - still empty brackets
Guest kiler4fun Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Yeah so i got only 1 prob with this new rom but i am running it with 2.1 TMN -> FLB 1.1 in U8230. My wi-fi says impossible to iniciate wi-fi. Anyone knows why? <3 the rom beside this problem
Guest brack Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Second day of 1.1 for me: with default LP too slow, too many acore fc, sometimes black screen for a few secs, replaced with the latest ADW 1.0.1 - bad idea, everything worked even slower, almost unusable, downgraded ADW to 0.8.8 - speed acceptable, but still feels slower that beta 5.1. Will try to do some more tweak, and maybe reverse to beta5.1update1 The ROM in general is good and I just cannot figure where the slowness and screen freezes come from.
Guest goce.nakov Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Well here is my experience from 24 hour's use of 1.1 The freezes are back...the phone just froze (black screen and only buttons light up when you push power button), you need to pull out the battery to reboot, that was happening before 1.0 and now again. Other then that it is running OK.
Guest AJV Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 i can confirm that a2sd is NOT working, now ive tried it, fresh install, original font, and then su a2sd check - still empty brackets Seems to be working for me, don't forget to move dalvik cache to sd.
Guest Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 My experience has been Dalvik cache is already on SD as standard with v1.1 of FLB-MOD ROM. This is the first version that I have found this to be the case; previously I had to move it in Terminal Em. I Wiped Data, Dalvik and Ext 2 before installing. Current free space on phone is 64mb with all my apps reinstalled. Tmobile 1.5 ---> Dec Update ---> Modaco 1.7 ---> T-Mob 2.1 (inc. Hu patch) ---> FLB-MOD beta1, beta3, beta 5.1, v1, beta 5.1, v1.1
Guest Krinyo Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 (edited) I have today a few freezes. I've never seen any freezes with 1.0 (tre kernel). Waiting 1.1 with tre kernel. A2SD working. Edited July 22, 2010 by Krinyo
Guest Krinyo Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Maybe freezes caused by LauncherPro... i don't see any app before, which had 3 updates in 24 hours. :(
Guest Pakatus Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 24h with 1.1 - Wifi working and faster than in 1.0. - 3G great and ready - a2sd working - I love the new Font...really. Just had a recurrent problem with googles...but even on 1.0 wasnt much stable.

I followed much the same upgrade path though I used oscillation instead of beta's to version 1. My only problem is I can't seem to get Swype installed again (managed to get in on the beta test). I have followed their instructions and no luck, I'm wondering if anyone else is having similar problems. Am I able to check /data/apps is Astro? The /data folder shows as empty with no /apps folder and no files. btw I quite like the font Fibble :(
Guest brack Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Reversed back to beta5.1 with adw 0.8.8 I think this is most perfect combination of this rom, at least me. Do far working great. The 1.1 rom is good but beta works better on my phone.
Guest Krinyo Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Yeah, I like the new font too... really. Not jokin' :(
Guest brack Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Why do I have 12mb free on internal storage on beta5.1 but with the same applications and dalvik is on sd, I had 57mb free?
Guest Krinyo Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 (edited) Because Dalvik is on SD. :( Edited July 22, 2010 by Krinyo
Guest Krinyo Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 More freezes. :( Happen under web browsing, market browsing... Annoying. I'll move back to 1.0 until it's get fixed. :(
Guest biron_w Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Well here is my experience from 24 hour's use of 1.1 The freezes are back...the phone just froze (black screen and only buttons light up when you push power button), you need to pull out the battery to reboot, that was happening before 1.0 and now again. I'm exactly the same. Had loads of freezes with the beta's,but didn't have any with 1.0. Now i've put 1.1 on i'm getting them again. I didn't have a single problem with 1.0 and only went to 1.1 because I got the problem where superuser access stopped working. I'll just hold out for tre 1.1.
Guest biron_w Posted July 22, 2010 Report Posted July 22, 2010 Hi guys, Thanks for the feedback so far. I'm still offline at home until Virgin Media sort my broadband out.. next week :S I'd just sack them off. I was unlucky to choose them once for broadband and I won't do it again. Load of rubbish! I'm now with o2 and they really are super :(

Guest defts Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 FLB v1.1 not working GPS PLS tell me, how I can delete something apps from ROM before flesh and add Russian language?
Guest SonMauri Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 I'm a fln user since out first came out and now, with version 1.1 I'm having some weird problem related to the calendar, apparently I can only upload data to my calendar but not the other way... Its the first time this happens to me... Anyone else having the same issue?
Guest brack Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 Because Dalvik is on SD. :( But read my post: I have dalvik on SD in both cases, checked it several times. If dalvik is on internal storage I cant install all my apps
Guest KiSUAN Posted July 23, 2010 Report Posted July 23, 2010 Well, my experience for what is worth. First some background, I don't care for cellular's, the only time I remember wanting one was the first I bought back in 1998 and never again. I'm mostly a PC guy, love overclock and all what that imply, things must always be pushed to the limit. This is my first Smartphone, 10 days in my possession, never had any expectations or hopes, but so far, thanks to this community and the amazing price/perf of the device I'm more than thrill with it. I started with a 1.5 with a lot of carp from my service provider, really awful, non the less the phone for the price still performed far better than I expected. The same day I google and found mondaco, come across the HU 2.1 and try it without gestation. Being clueless, after some maneuvers I got everything working, 3G, Wi-Fi, MSM, sure was damm buggy but was a great step forward. Almost a couple of hours later find FLBMOD+LauncherPRO, again down to work, must say, great work against this crappy 2.1 HU ROM, kudos to Flib. During 4 days I keep adding and removing things , trying to get more free space and trying some apps. During the hole time LauncherPRO keep getting laggy and constants halts every time I open or close things. Once again I turned to the community and found the TRE, this ROM was five steps forward. I went back to the crapy 1.5 from provider, then 2.1 TRE and FLBMOD 1.0, after that things only got better, no more laggs or halts from LauncherPRO, everything smooth. ASTRO beta over, changed to ES, for me far better, cleaner, smooth, I think this should be the default, but sure Flib knows better. Also changed the default browser for X-Scope, damn, this browser is fast in comparison and much friendly, if you can pay it I recommend it in my limited experience. Added ES Secu and Task, nice bundle with the explorer. Wi-Fi Analyzer is a wonderful application, a must for me since I try it. Switch default music for TuneWiki and much more apps to try and test. 2 hours after 1.1 was up couldn't resist temptation and had to install it. Back to 1.5 provider, 2.1 TRE and 1.1 and this time finally the a2ps since I bought a 8Gb Micro sdhc Class 6 and change the 2Gb generic the provider give me. I was very surprised to see in the Commander that I had 74Mb free (67 now). Sad to see how LauncherPro halts and lagg returned, installed LaunchedPro Plus and things got a little better, dunno why. Switched fonts for default, much better now, added a Fusion0306 boot ani, Spanish TouchPal pak, all working like charm. Deleted many default apps, fancy widget, animated wallpaper, wifi status, and more, no problem with that. Changing from 3G to 2G make the phone "stupid" and need some tries, nothing i cant live with, Sms fine, Wi-Fi feels better. So far I think TRE+1.0 was better for me, but I'll keep testing and trying apps, waiting with expectation 1.1 TRE. MUST remark the display of character and commitment of flibblesan after being mugged and the support shown by many to him. GREAT WORK!!! Hope I said something with value and sorry for any grammar mistakes, my english is a bit rusty.
