Just to let you know, worked fine without clearing dalvik. Really stable rom again and feels slicker than beta v5.

Another great rom.

I don't seem to have the news and weather app that was on 1.2. Anyone know where to get it?

@Flible....does the new version fixes only contact's/phone bug, I'm asking because I already fixed that and If you have applied other fixes maybe is worth wiping and installing all over again?

The fix brings back the Huawei dialer with contacts showing in the right order, contact searching in email, gmail and Messaging.

you do something in wrong order, maybe you first flash then wipe or so.

try it without sd card first to see if it works that way.

wat do u mean withoud sd card i need the sd card for update

How long do you leave it booting? First boot may take anywhere between 5-10 minutes (at least it does for me)

Make sure to do a full wipe, wipe SD too and clear dalvik cache before installing any custom roms

Do i have to wipe anything if I want to flash the dialer and contacts fix?

I tried to just flash the fix without wiping anything and then i just got force close when i tried to open contact or dialer. luckily i got a nandroid backup

Thanks Flibblesan for all your effort you put in this, it really is a great job you have done! :)

Boot into recovery and wipe dalvik cache. that should allow you to boot and have working phone.

Actually i got exactly the same problem "the process android.process.acore has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again" whenever I am opening contact or phone app. Maybe the only solution is to reflash the complete 1.2 ROM?

I should also tell that the first time I flashed the fix I also flashed the vanilla framework directly after without a reboot.

I currently have the oscillation rom on my pulse but that seems to have halted, is it worth me putting flb on and will it upgrade oscillation ok or would I need to go back to stock hungary?

I'd say it's worth it, but you can't just upgrade from Oscillation to FLB. Do a full wipe in recovery, including your SD and dalvik, and then flash FLB. No need to get back to Hungary unless you run into trouble

about wired tether, a dialing app i dont know how to use it with 3G (HSDPA/HSUPA) connection. For me on win works only PDA net and on linux proxoid. But the best would be something like build in tether in Froyo, but i dont know if something like that exists for 2.1. But no big problem i can live with PDANet/Proxoid :)

Only small question about gmail app. When i want to write new email i would like to add contact from phone contacts. We tried it on htc desire and after some letters potential emails appear in listbox, but on pulse nothing like this work for me. Its really difficult to remember so many emails.

I got the same after flashing the contacts repair - constant FCs. Tried reflashing the 'new' 1.2 without a wipe, and that didn't work, so ended up with a full wipe and reflashing. Not much lost! I hadn't flashed the vanilla framework BTW.

With the ADW tips posted a couple of pages back, my phone is nice and quick now! :)

Has anyone confirmed whether stock launcher uses less RAM than ADW?

Well, its definetly faster and stable than adw or LPro

LauncherPro takes me to force-close city thanks to it's appetite for ram.

ADW is currently a bit leaner. Both aren't perfect though.

Yep, i tried it, it drain less battery too. I think FLB-mod 1.2 with stock launcher is the best
