Well, its definetly faster and stable than adw or LPro

Thanks for that.

Is there any way to find out how much RAM a launcher uses? I think launchers show up as acore process name which makes it hard to work out how much RAM it uses. Although I do get 2 acore processes so maybe 1 is Android and the other is launcher?

Yep, i tried it, it drain less battery too. I think FLB-mod 1.2 with stock launcher is the best

+1

Never been happier than I am now with my Pulse. FLB 1.2 with stock launcher is fantastic and more importantly stable.

Definitely. I'm using ADW on FLB 1.2. Phone has been on for 19 hours without a reboot and it's still quick and stable. Phone has been off charge for 7 hours now and I'm on 75% battery.

Usage:

Wi-Fi is set to auto connect when I wake the phone up.

I have Twitter on the phone checking for tweets every 15 minutes and Google Mail receives push mail.

Homescreen has Snowstorm, Battstatt and Digital Clock Widgets.

Appbrain App market with Fast web install sits in the background checking for push requests.

WaveSecure running and automatically backs up my data every day when on charge.

And finally I've installed 23 applications on my phone.

Yep, I'm happy enough.

How have you got Wavesecure working from the SD card? I had a lot of trouble with that and eventually somehow managed to lock the phone and it would not recognise my PIN number. The wavesecure support was no help at all and I eventually had to flash the ROM again to be able to use my phone. Since I was able to bypass the security by flashing the ROM I didn't see the point in re-installing Wavesecure.

I've installed it to my system partition.

It installed automaticly for me when I installed 1.2 (this was before the updated 1.2 without contactfix)

It was there in the first version of 1.2 but I've just updated to the new version & it's not there any more.

That aside - love this latest release.

Thanks Flibblesan :)

I'm currently on FLB-Mod v1.2 and i've got a small problem here:

Before upgrading to the FLB custom ROM, i signed up a Google Account specially to access to Android Market. Then as i download apps from the Market, my Google account actually logs the apps downloaded, and hence able to provide "New Updates Available" whenever there are new app updates/versions available in the Market.

However, after i installed the FLB custom ROM, and used the same Google Account to sign-in, i still receive the usual "New Updates Available" message from the Market. However, when i check my Downloads section in the Market, there appears to be no apps that needs to be updated (as the new custom ROM included different apps and have erased the provious apps that i have). This means the notification of new updates are available are actually for the apps that i have in my previous ROM, but not the current ROM i'm on now.

So how do i go about the problem of the Market updating me that there're new updates when i already have upgraded to a custom ROM that no longer have the previous apps that i've installed in my previous ROM?

Just thought I'd add my experience with this ROM.

I installed FLB 1.0 (went for 1.0 because of the issues with 1.1 at the time) about 10 days ago and it's been great since! Haven't received a single reboot, just the occasional Wait/FC alert when running memory hungry apps but nothing has actually FCed which is impressive. The Wait/FC issue only started after approx 5 days. I experienced a general slowdown in the phone although it was still very usable. I don't use any widgets. The only thing I changed after 5 days is that I installed many more apps so maybe this had an effect?

I'm going to install 1.2 with stock launcher now so hopefully this fixes some memory issues.

Does anyone know the dialer that was included with 1.0? Is it the same one as 1.2? What is this file for:

Download: Huawei Dialer & Contacts (fix for 1.2 users with broken phone app) (3.78 MB)

Do I need this or has this been fixed in the latest 1.2 release?

EDIT: Just read the comments in the first post about the dialer fix. I guess I don't need the fix as it's already fixed :)

It is fixed...just download 1.2 from the link provided you don't need to download separate Huawei Dialer & Contacts

Hi,

I have installed this rom, and i gotta tell that it is fantastic (especially the fix for the music player-headset bug), however as I can see there is no need for more compliments :) everybody wishes if t-mobile/huawei had invested so much work in it.

However there is one thing that i am not able to find out: in the first post where there are screenshots of the rom, there are 4+1 icons at the bottom of the screen, on the quick launch bar (i am not sure about it's exact name, you know the bar that has the drawer button at the middle), but on my phone there are only 2+1 icons. I've been exploring the new rom's settings and configuration menus for hours now, but i am a bit noob for this (my first smartphone with my first custom rom), and i cannot find out how could i get 4+1 icons aswell. Is there anybody who could help me?

Thank you in advance.

(Sorry if it is already answered, unfortunately it is a bit long topic, and the search feature did not give me any usable results)

I wondered the same. I think this is LauncherPro rather than ADW which is installed by default I think. ADW is used because LauncherPro uses a lot of RAM

Nope, it's ADW :)

Quite easy to do. Press Menu, go to ADW.Settings then go to UI Settings, disable Desktop dots then enable Secondary ActionButtons. I also like to change the AB Scale Factor to 8. This will give you 4 icons at the bottom :D

look you bitches, this mod rocks.Shure it freezes sometimes, but hey nothing is perfect.Official 2.1 sure as hell is not, I mean upon installation I had about 20 MB of free internal memory space, with flb 1.2 I had 43 MB.And when I moved dalvick cache to SD card with A2SD app I had 70 MB. (apps are on SD of course)

After I installed about 50+ apps on SD ext3 partition, and cleaned the cache with app called cache mate, I have about 53 MB of free internall memory.Just like I had with android 1.5.

If you follow instalation procedure by the book, you will have NO problems.

Only problem is about dalvick cache, but you can set thet up with app A2SD which have an option for transfering apps and dalvick to SD.So USE IT.

Oh and dont forget to do a nandroid backup (nand + ext) AFTER you have installed your custom rom.Because if you followed procedure you have done a nandroid backup and then wiped your SD card (and backup I think) when you did format for A2SD purpose.

Am I the only one that doesn't like the new font? Is there any way to get the old font back?

Kitty is sad that you don't like the font :)

But you can download original fonts supplied by kitty and he says you can push them to your phone using ADB and make sure they goes into /system/fonts/

fonts.zip

HAHA! Sorry Kitty but it's only just slightly bigger than the previous font which means text is obscured in certain apps otherwise it's a nice font. I'll see if I can put up with it otherwise I'll use the old one....thanks for providing it :D

What's up Flibble?

So, I'm getting stuck in Fancy Huawei bootloop in both versions of the new 1.2. But before I was using the buggy 1.2 with no problems... Any ideas?

I'm nandroid recovering by now...

Thx
