suggest you also update the sticky thread 'the ultimate pulse owners guide' post #3 just after '...The Guide...'

I can't do that as it's not my thread. Need to ask the thread author to do that.

What's up Flibble?

So, I'm getting stuck in Fancy Huawei bootloop in both versions of the new 1.2. But before I was using the buggy 1.2 with no problems... Any ideas?

I'm nandroid recovering by now...

Thx

Did you do a complete wipe of your phone before flashing? Nothing has changed in the fixed 1.2 that will cause a boot loop.

Yep, I've wiped everything, in fact I've never had a bootloop with any of your roms..

Now I'm trying the older 1.2 and it's still bootlooping... Guess there's something wrong here, but don't know what..

Are you able to view the logs using DDMS in the Android SDK to see whats causing the loop?

Sorry, my knownledge is just curiosity result, I can't go that deep. I'll try a few things here, if still doesn't boot you tell me how to do this. =/

EDIT: Thx for your mental support fibble =P I got it working now. To be honnest I just had to wipe ext partition. But that's the first time I do it.. I've flashed hundreds of updates without doing and never got stuck on a boot loop...

Thx anyway!

EDIT 2: Like older 1.2 with TRE kernel, I can't get Data connectivity... I'll flash TMO version now

Hey I can't get data connectivity in any 1.2 rom.. what has changed? Is there something to do with the APN's? Cause I never had to configure those manually.

Edit: I've managed to edit the APN and now I have 3G icon shown, but I guess I'm missing some configuration that's preventing the data to flow. But I've neved had to configure this, is there anyway to get this automatically configured as it has always been?

Edit 2: I've got the configs right. Sorry I swear I'm gonna start trying harder before posting questions :)

Any idea why my phone keeps loosing GSM signal? It's happening on FLB 1.0, 1.1, 1.2 (both Tre and TMO kernels). On original 2.1 HU (no custom_hu, haven't tried that) no such problem....

Please, help, stock ROM is SOOOOOOOOOOO boaring and keeps getting on my nerves.... Friggin' ROM in which I can't delete all the things I don't need and put things I want/need...

Hi,

I have installed the FLB Mod Beta5 and I want to go to FLB Mod 1.2.

Should I make Nandroid restore to the Hungarian 2.1 before flash it to FLB Mod 1.2?

Nope, just make sure to WIPE everything (data, Dalvik and ext partition if you had one) before installation.

Requirements:

You must have updated your device using the T-Mobile Hungary 2.1 update first, with ClockworkMod Recovery installed second. FLB-Mod takes advantage of the new partition sizes as well as updated hardware firmware to function. It will not fit on 1.5 partition sizes. I have no plan to produce a version for 1.5 users.

Well, I think HU isn't required only HU or Tre upgrade, is it? Can I still use Amon-Ra to flash my device oder is ClockworkMod Recovery necessary for FLB 1.2?

1. Yes, any official 2.1 upgrade is enough - at this moment it can be Hungarian 2.1 or Tre 2.1 upgrade.

2. You can use AmonRA of course but ClockworkMod Recovery is better :)

Guys, how can i check if A2SD works properly? I set the ext2 partition's size to 512 MB, however after installation i had 44 MB free space. I've installed a few software and now i have only 18 MB available space.

1. Your Dalvik cache is on your device, should be put to SD (in case your SD is class4 at least)

2. Install terminal emulator (unless you already have that), type:

su

a2sd check

If your Dalvik is on device then type:

a2sd cachesd

Done, enjoy :)

it gives you up to 70MB plus a great speed improement.

@ flibble

Do you got release date for 1.3?

to include:

-memory config

-deleting sync xxxx stuff (from "undeleting uneeded things" thread

-a place saving bootanimation

-deleting unneeded ring and notification sounds(like horrible camera sound)

i did this thing for myself and i got more space and more speed, without missing anything.

'a2sd check' needs to be added to the first (or second) post as we get a lot questions about this. That one command could answer about 50 posts we get about a2sd!

Edit: Something along the lines of:

If you want to check whether apps are being installed to SD card or dalvik cache needs to be moved to SD card type:

a2sd check

I'm curious about something. When I had FLB 1.0 I used LauncherPro and then ADW. Both of them showed 2 acore processes in process list. Now that I've switched to FLB 1.2 I'm using stock launcher and there is only 1 acore process using 24MB RAM.

I was wondering whether people that have LauncherPro or ADW, do you always get 2 acore processes? If thats the case then 1 process must belong to the launcher. I remember one process taking up approx 16MB which is quite a lot for a launcher.

Although the stock launcher isn't anywhere near as pretty as the other 2, I think you get an overall better experience with the phone.

look you bitches, this mod rocks.Shure it freezes sometimes, but hey nothing is perfect.Official 2.1 sure as hell is not, I mean upon installation I had about 20 MB of free internal memory space, with flb 1.2 I had 43 MB.And when I moved dalvick cache to SD card with A2SD app I had 70 MB. (apps are on SD of course)

After I installed about 50+ apps on SD ext3 partition, and cleaned the cache with app called cache mate, I have about 53 MB of free internall memory.Just like I had with android 1.5.

If you follow instalation procedure by the book, you will have NO problems.

Only problem is about dalvick cache, but you can set thet up with app A2SD which have an option for transfering apps and dalvick to SD.So USE IT.

Oh and dont forget to do a nandroid backup (nand + ext) AFTER you have installed your custom rom.Because if you followed procedure you have done a nandroid backup and then wiped your SD card (and backup I think) when you did format for A2SD purpose.

How are you getting such high free memory ? I've installed flb v1.2, (wiping cache and data), then immediately configured cache2sd, I then install Advanced task killer to view free memory and only get 34MB. As I install apps it seems to decrease further. What is the trick to still have 53MB of RAM free, even after intalling all those apps ?

RAM is not storage space. You can use 'a2sd check' from adb shell to see if Apps2SD is installing apps to SD.

I don't have any planned release date. Not got a lot of time to work on the ROM for the next few weeks.
