Sorry to bother you flib, you'll obviously have your hands full here.

I'm more than happy with FLB-MOD1.2Tre so I'm hanging back for the moment. Just one question though - does the UK2.1 update have an official 'fingerprint' or whatever it's called for the android market? Do apps show up as they should? Because that is something worth making the leap for.

I'm trying to make it as quick as I can possibly do.

Swype isn't on the Market. You have to be a beta tester in order to use it :D

http://beta.swype.com I believe.

No problem. I just wish I could find out how to get Android to show all the locales in Settings. I just can't find this information with Google...

Strange really as the application I added called MoreLocale doesn't contain any locales itself.. it just tells Android to change locale, which it does.

The ROM v1.3 has got the annoying "do you want to allow data connection?" dialog when you turn off Wi-Fi...

sorry... false alarm. Not sure why I saw it. But it disappears after another reboot...

It's all mentioned in the topic...

Yes, it is based on UK 2.1, no, you don't have to upgrade to UK 2.1 first as long as you've had 2.1 hu or 2.1 tre installed previously, and there is no ''UK goodness'' as it's basically the same rom, perhaps with a few more bugfixes. Fibble said that unless you have trouble with your current rom, there's no use in going from FLB 1.2 to 1.31

actually i'm not sure if it IS based on the UK 2.1, i think it's just the old build rejiggled to fit the new partition sizes that software updating to the UK2.1 creates...

Hi, flibblesan, many thanks for your efforts. This is fantastic.

just a quick question. Do you have the drivers and source codes? And are you already working on the 2.2 ROM?

I'm asking about it for a friend on the Web, who is interested in developing roms. I'm a tech idiot but have benefited from your efforts a lot.

thanks again!!

yes i know what you mean but flib was looking into changing the rom to 2.1uk as a base rom as you can see in my privious post with him the question was at him becouse at the time of the talk 1.3 was out and it was only a chane of structure so flb fited the new 2.1uk wat i ask was if the new 1.31 was the changes he made using the 2.1 uk kernel structure and rom by the looks it aint and he still working to make this posible since the sms bug may be fixed with this hopefully.

I already have FLB-Mod 1.2 installed, would I need to wipe (data+dalvik) for upgrading to this release?

I'm on version 1.3 and everything is smooth and nice, aside from the "Continuing Internet Access" message but I see you fixed that. Also I'm not sure if you fixed the keep launcher in memory thing so I added the line to local.prop myself.

I have a suggestion. Maybe due to the small size of system you can move apps such as Music and Mms to data, so if someone is using a different music player or messaging app those could be easily removed. Cheers!

can MMS and Music be moved to data? Surely they contain some links to the original places? noob :)

It should be fine. Although if it doesn't work, I don't know. [@ The Pros] - Would it need a sym-link? (I don't even know if that's the right thing but still..)

/Off but on

Will you still make ROMs for the 2.1 Tre update? I hate the T-Mobile splash screen and just think that Tre sounds better. :D

Out of curiosity - could we resize the partitions ourself (is in you Flib) so that we have the whole thing as /system and the /data can just be A2SD?

Like what we had to do to go back to 1.5 before Time Machine,

fastboot erase system

fastboot erase data

fastboot flash system *mega size system.img*

[whether we'd need to I don't know] fastboot flash data *tiny size data.img*

I know it works since I'm without the Mms.apk at the moment and there's no problem whatsoever. Using Handcent and receiving messages just fine. It shouldn't be a problem with Music as well.
