I notice the menu entries are slightly different to any of the previous recovery screens and also the nandroid backup I'm currently doing gives a more detailed view of what's being backed up instead of just dots that go on for 3 lines. Otherwise though, everything seems to be working just fine. If it's as reliable at nandroid and of course flashing ROMs then I'll use this method from now on :) Many thanks! Guest ph0rce Posted June 9, 2010 Report Share Posted June 9, 2010 (edited) Just tried to follow the instructions from the first post but I get an exception when I press the volume up & power button after it is in recovery, the error says: E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command Just noticed that the first post says this is only for devices rooted with a test image, what is that exactly? E:Can't open /cache/recovery/command -- Install from sdcard... Finding update package... Opening update package... Verifying update package... Hi My guess is that you first have to format the card from the PC recovery.. then copy the zip to the card and do the ROM upgrade. Just tried the process again but this time I was able to access the menu from recovery & flash the update zip, it seemed to work great.
