Guest blubbi4ever Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 Hi folks. I'm currently searching for a incoming call ID with a slide feature. I'm using s2u2, which works fine except one thing: The call ID. I have the same problem, like in this topic: http://www.modaco.com/content/i8000-verizo...-with-jd1-roms/ Sometimes I'm sending/receiving MMS, that's why disabling the dialer is not an option for me. Does anyone know some alternate skins with a slider for the oem call ID? Or perhaps there's a way for disabling the oem incoming call ID only? Maybe someone does have a proposal of solution by now regarding this issue with s2u2. My current setup on my O2 is the official JE3 ROM with windows mobile 6.5.3 and s2u2 v2.41. Any help would be appreciated!
Guest kaplex Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 i'm using JE2 with s2u2 v2.41 with no problem in overlap incoming call.

Do you have any special programs installed, like the JC2 dialer? What are your settings (Phone, Advanced etc.)? Sorry for all these questions. However it is amazing to see someone, who doesn't have this issue and now I'm eagerly trying to solve this problem.

That's because JE2 is WM 6.5, not 6.5.3. The problem ocurrs only on 6.5.3.

Well .. it's a great pity. I hope this will be fixed soon. How about some alternative solutions like phone extension, inesoft phone, resco contact manager or freeware dialers? I'm very cautious of installing dialers randomly, because the last one (i think it was phone canvas) caused me a lot of problems and I was forced to do a hardreset. many thanks for your help so far! I'm very cautious of installing dialers randomly, because the last one (i think it was phone canvas) caused me a lot of problems and I was forced to do a hardreset. I'm using resco contact manager and it also has slide to answer/decline feature, as well as nice looking contact book, call history, dialer and sms viewer. Moreover, it comes with awesome today plugin which has almost all features required on home screen (maybe except weather) and I prefer using it instead of titanium or samsung today.

Thank you very much for the recommendation. I've tried resco contact manager v2.05 and my first impression was: awesome. I like the dialer very much. It looks a bit conservative for my taste, but it's definitely better than the normal dialer. Furthermore it has more features, the menu is fast and very easy to handle. Everthing works fine. However you can guess, which feature doesn't work properly on WM 6.5.3... Exactly, the incoming call ID. When I receive a call, the oem call ID + resco contact manager call ID opens at the same time. That's the same behaviour like s2u2, but there's one difference: resco contact manager is in the foreground and I can slide to answer/reject. However, when I'm trying to answer the call, the window suddenly disappears, the phone rings continiously and there's no way (except the hardware button) to answer the call with the touchscreen. I'm starting to think that there isn't a dialer (with slide feature) out there, which currently works with 6.5.3 and that is somehow sad. Apart from that issue, Resco contact manager is really great.
